Tame impala is one dude! His name is Kevin Parker!! But I was the same way I didn’t get his music but it was good but after a few more listens everything just connected
I would recommend listening to them in chronological order, but since you started here I would then listen to The Slow Rush, then Lonerism, then Innerspeaker
I'd always felt sorry for this generation bc I thought they'd never have a Steely Dan or Radiohead. Just a real artist or band that could put together a perfectly crafted and exceptionally thoughtful album. Something you can really get lost in. Then I heard this album. I think these kids will be alright after all.
Seeing Tame Live at Laneway festival a few years back in my home state of South Australia, was an absolutely mind-blowing experience. The entire crowd was in a euphoric state by the end and completely covered in glitter. Unparalleled vibe and energy.
Awesome stream as always! Ive heard, the rest of his work should also be amazing, Lonerism being my favorite. Anyways I'll be very excited for the clipping. stream
I recommend Slow Rush next as it's the most similar to Currents and also generally considered a disappointment by his OG fans. The first two albums are awesome and you can listen in either order. (Many OG fans consider Currents a step down from his first 2 LPs, myself included). Also, if you haven't heard them already, please do Pixies' discography (in chronological order!). Surfer has *amazing* production and any song on Doolittle would be the lead single on any other album by any other band. Oh also, since I almost love music as much as you, think about Yeasayer, particularly their 3rd LP, which is electronic and I think worth reviewing if only because it's terribly overlooked and really interesting. Here's the opening track: ua-cam.com/video/HWWJwpKuIeg/v-deo.html&ab_channel=thesego211 Thanks for sharing your reactions to popular music. Appreciate the time it takes and it's enjoyable to listen along. Cheers
Totally agree with you except the current being a stepdown part. Different doesnt mean worse and i think currents really is an album that will grow with you. Lots of memories personally with currents. However as a whole album it lacks a bit of cohesion which the slow rush does do better. Currents has amazing groovy hits but i understand that people like the rough psychedelic lonerism and innerspeaker more. As a casual listen lonerism has really grown on me the past year. I find innerspeaker hard to listen though. It's so amazingly deep and complex but i need to take the time to listen to it completely
@@ytancorbel1898 Interesting, I'd argue that Currents is actually his most cohesive album. Except for maybe Lonerism. Currents is my favorite and I feel like the story it tells is really amazing and one that I can relate to. I think the reason people disliked The Slow Rush is because it's happier. Not as much internal conflict, it feels very positive. People probably find it boring, as did I. Until one day I was driving a convertable with the top down on a really sunny day near the beach. I was listening to it and it just clicked. Then one night, One More Hour reallyyyy clicked and I literally cried, it was beautiful.
@@RGE_Music he is accepting tips to be fair though, Pretty sure it counts as fair use as he is adding to the content by giving his opinions and what not and Im pretty sure no one is going to this video just to listen to tame impala and skip over the parts he's commentating over so I'd say that how he gets away with it

The bass on let it happen slaps harder than my dad's belt
T
One of the best albums ever made
lol
Hard disagree, but it is a fun album though
Yup
Let It Happen -> The Less I Know is one of the best track runs I've ever heard, but everything after is pretty samey/forgettable.
And one of the worst review videos 😴😴😴.
I would recommend listening to them in chronological order, but since you started here I would then listen to The Slow Rush, then Lonerism, then Innerspeaker
it would not be better innerspeaker first, then lonerism(?
@@Oscar-by7mk yeah I think so

We have Tame Impala, Beach House, Kendrick Lamar, Julia Holter and so much more bro we'll be fine
Radiohead are still going though
We literally have so many, stop worrying about what we don't have and come discover what we do!

Oh my gosh I love this guy lol this channel is just what I needed!
Glad you dug it
Some amazing album reactions these past few weeks, keep it up
I was born in 1973 and the first track remember me the real dance music of the 80's. A lot of longing behind
I'm still one of the few who are still part of the crowd who saw him perform last before covid restrictions took effect that very night.
Do you mean a lot of them died, or what?
LA?
San Francisco?
@@michael23fly SF was the first to get cancelled
You have to check Pond too, another Kevin Parker's side band also produced by him. Really good stuff! New sub from Argentina! 🇦🇷✌🏼❤
WHOA it's still up...for now
Just left a comment asking how he's not getting hit by UA-cam with a copyright claim.
When I read "old man", I expected to see someone who was old enough to remember the Suez crisis.

Love your reactions! You gotta do Lonerism next!

Quebecois is a tough accent to place. I dunno that “Russian” would’ve been my first guess though.
51:06 freaked me out Sam I thought your singing blew my headphones' left channel.
I wanna see this guy dance at a day rave
This is Gold 🔹
I just came to see how an old bud falls in love
Sam, you should react to Rihanna's ANTI!
Another great band is Mutemath. Armistice album is amazing.
wow I completely forgot about Mutemath, haven't listened since high school
luv
This album always gives me 80’s Christmas Vibes 😂🔥
I highly recommend Nangs
You should do Lonerism next.
please check out The Slow Rush

has he done A Crow Looked At Me reaction?
nixeeeeeee
As a fellow vinyl junkie/DJ, I must ask how are you not getting slapped with a copyright infringement?
I feel like as long as he isnt profiting you could say its fair use
