Even hollywood stars do not keep their spouse as secret. Except drake cause he is shady. If they keep you as his secret, he is not for you temporary or permanent. I meant more privacy versus secrecy. I agree with you, your person should be proud to have you as their partner. But there are many valid, healthy reasons to keep a relationship secret or private. It could be a workplace policy if someone happens to fall for a boss or someone who works below them. Sometimes people have unstable exes or families, and they want to keep them secret for their safety. There are lgbtq people who are still in not out and must keep their relationships secret. It's all a matter of circumstance. Dolly Parton keeps her marriage rather private and she's a treasure.

I believe she meant to keep your relationship private until you’re sure about it, as other people might get jealous and send negative energy toward it. To be honest, I really don't do "metaphorical language" anymore, because it is bull and it is part of certain things. That's I was like "tell me that you don't do it to" because I know you think it is bull, but I got my self into something. But I hope people will not think that about last time?
