All faders (left right) send a MidiCC signal on midi channel 0 with left starting at MidiCC 0 - 31 for tracks 1-32 whilst the Buss faders are replicated both sides, mute buttons from memory send on midi channel 1 whilst the Pan/Balance button is erm cant remember. Mute buttons also send a signal but the solo and select buttons do nothing. Matrix right buttons are used for transport but these can also use the assign buttons. In the end the X32 ability to control a DAW is limited at best with no way to switch between mixer/instruments/effects. The full size one has 8 extra assignable rotary knobs which are useful the cut down ones not, I have the compact version. The x-touch universal is far far better more versatile for DAW control
use it in studio one and thank me later, studio one is my main daw for x32, because you can assign macros and pretty much launch what you want with the x32.
so I have done this multiple times the whole setup works but as soon as I close out of the window once im done doing the controls the faders on my x32 don't control what I set them too.
make sure logic is updated to the current version, that fixed this specific issue for another user who asked me this on instagram. also when i first tried to setup the x32 i messed up a few times, i had to delete those previous attempts saved inside the advance midi assign section and start from scratch. then it saved
I'm using a M32R with different software, I have the Midi control working, BUT after i let go of the fader it resets all the way down, the fader on my software stays still. But if i need to move the fader to adjust volume again it resets it all the way down. Any Idea? IDK if its a software thing or a M32 setting.
I really need your help. I don't know why but if I set the first 16 faders it work properly. When I add fader 17 same steps, testing yes working, I press learn. And the fader works but if I put the fader to the top the controls in logic will do opposite. (channel 1 - 16 work properly) I only have this problem when I configure more than 16 faders. I set my card to 32 in and out. All the settings you show in this video are all the same. I tested on my behringer x32 compact en full size because maybe it have something to do with my inputs on the mixer. But no also on a full size I have this problem. I can only configure 16 faders.
In logic if you installed the x32 multiple times with that mackie or hui, make sure you delete or disengage the previous mixer setups before starting you’re midi learning process or they will clash. I think i ran into this problem before that you’re having but forgot what i did exactly to fix it or get around it. Manually set channel 17 instead of using the auto assign, try to see what’s happening in the controller assignment expert view when you assign channel 17 to make sure the other channels are using different channels for the faders and not linking to the same channels. The x32 have specific channels for each function using it as a controller. But in all honesty I barely use logic, i just made the tutorial for my logic users. But a couple users were having random glitches that went away when they updated logic to the latest version. Also maybe check your firmware, my x32 is on the latest firmware.
Not exactly sure, I’ve only recently used logic this year. But it should be similar because your assigning tracks to the midi functions as if you had any midi controller, I don’t believe it’s tied into the current versions of logic but don’t quote me on this.
You just earned a sub men ! Good job
Can you do this for logic pro 9
Can you do this same thing for Logic Pro 9

Make sure you are on the latest logic updates. This tutorial works for m1 bigsur, I haven’t tested on anything newer like m1 max machines etc.

You will see it under “midi input message” in the controller assignments menu Expert section
do you have a link for the x32 edit software?
mediadl.musictribe.com/download/software/behringer/X32/X32-Edit_MAC_4.3.zip
www.behringer.com/product.html?modelCode=P0ASF or go there and on the right hand side you should see product software
Can we do this same thing logic pro 9
