“Fallen Angels?”
“The Beginning” Series
Genesis 6:1-5; Romans 7-8; Jude 1:6-7, 14-15; 2 Peter 2:4-6
In truth, the Bible does not answer every question. It is not an encyclopedia of all knowledge. What God has done with His Holy Word is tell us about who He is and His character. In doing so, God explains to us everything that we need to know in order to have faith in Him as a loving God who is worthy of our worship.
In the Bible we learn some things about angels but not everything. It just isn’t necessary to know all about angels for you and me to come to salvation.
It may be that these fallen angels resurface on the pages of the Bible in Genesis 6. It is a matter of great controversy! The question is: Who are the “sons of God” that impregnate the daughters of men in Genesis 6:2-4?
If a person truly trusts Jesus, then they will live for Jesus. They will read their Bible, they will go to church to be with other disciples, and they will pray. They will learn how to share Jesus with their neighbors and they will do so. No one can do any of these things affectively without the Holy Spirit. You can ask the Holy Spirit to purify your heart and fill you, but we aren’t sincere until we hate our sin because we know Jesus hates sin. Jesus does not want to save us for sin. Jesus wants to save us from our sin!!
