Hope this helps a lot of you out!... Like I said there are multiple ways of doing curves and the one's shown in this video and there one's I use... Also the Curve Builder Mod has a slider in the Mod Menu in game, that allows you to refine the turning radius even more!...... EDIT: Just so people know, as stated in the video there are other methods/ways to do what I do.. But when people ask "Bitz how did you build that, the way you do?" the methods shown in this video are the ways I do them, YES, there are easier methods and YES, there are other ways of doing them. Just want to make that clear again.
Hey Bitz! There is ANOTHER way to do curves! It is with using train rails. You lay a rail in a curve you desire, and use pillars to snap along the bottom and use them as a guideline to snap foundations to to create a curve. It's how I've always done it. Rxckxt has an amazing video on it. But for rail networks it allows you to have curves that follow your desired rail path vs having the rail follow whatever limited curve you can make or any BP's you design. Using a rail you can have some nice subtle curves and its even great with blueprints. I even have a curved dam all stemming from using a rail to define the soft curve.
When you combine Curve Builder with Infinite Zoop (or as I like to call it, InfiniZoop), you can zoop some humongous turns when set to a single digit turn. I just love InfiniZoop due to the simple fact you can zoop foundations, kinda like how, in Scrap Mechanic, you can build 16x16 squares of any one material, but on a much larger scale than that.
Great video, good tips - will send a DM of something :)

Hey Bliz, nice video. One thing though, the cat walk have 10 degrees increments, not 5 degrees. That's why, the nudging method gives a longer curve then the cat-walk (less Z-Fighting). Also, with nudging, you don't need the cat walk at all and still place the bottom foundation if you have problem (I do to) to rotate of the corner directly. You just nudge 4 back and 4 left to get your first center foundation. In any case, this means you can do curve without anything from the Awesome Shop. Thanks for the video.
I fell in love with the curve builder mod the second I saw it on the mod loader. There's no way I'll ever play without it. At this rate, it should be a feature, since they've elected not to give us an actual road-spline feature.
One thing I feel would have been good to include is how many foundations out a 5 and 10 degree turn is. So you can start with a right angle turn and delete the appropriate amount of foundations to start your turn at the right spot.
Gosh I learned how to do curves because of you but... but... the mod is so nice and easy...! I wanted to be completely vanilla on my first 1.0 playthrough tho... but the urge is quite strong, hahahaha! The conundrum! Anyway. Thank you for the lovely concise guide! I have so many "Satisfactory Inspo" bookmarks and many of them are from your videos... hehehe.
I would love for the devs would give us more build pieces including curves even if it's dlc but I realize if they did it would minimize all the effort players have put in to figure out hacks and whatnot.
oof...that curve mod is going to be a game changer when I do a modded playthrough. Staying mod free for my first run through 1.0 though. I haven't played modded since like update 5 or so. And I go with the newer way of doing curves with the nudging. I have two macros setup on my keyboard to do the nudging for me with one button click. Sometimes the game hitches a little and it doesn't quite finish the nudging correctly, but that's an easy fix. I'm definitely not as fast as you with your method, but I can make curves pretty well. And when it came to merging the two sides of my highway using modified versions of your blueprints, even with the elevation changes I included, I nailed the elevation of the start of my highway and merged them close enough for the difference to fit within a pillar.
How to combine two different grids: You don't have to combine them if they are always extending from the same grid, i.e.: Extend from your first base and delete what you don't need as you go.
Hey, Bitz, is the free version of DaVinci Resolve any good? I want to be able to edit my videos but I don't know which videi editor to use and I don't have that much money... Thanks!

That curve mod! I haven't looked too deeply into mods for Satisfactory yet but certainly looks like there is some gold in there!

Bitz loves his curves ❤️
👀
Thanks - I got Coffee in my nose...
Curve builder and auto-sort are fantastic!
Love the mod shout out. Installed it and it is indeed easier than doing it by hand! But great explanation as always!
Thnx for all the different ways to break my mind. I think I don't really mind my straight lines anymore
Good luck with the channel! ✌️
Although... That mod is kinda... nice.. kinda..
Satisfactory ✅
Thank You, Needed this!!!
Your Welcome!
Thanks Bitz, Needed this. good to have ya back!
Curve builder has convinced me to start playing with some mods. It should totally be part of the base game.
I personally use asphalt foundations for everything. They almost never z-fight

Hi
leaving a comment for the algorythm and to thank you for the tutorial.
Thanks!
Thanks Bitz! Helps a lot!

Thought this was KiBitz for a sec

Im downloading it RIGHT NOW❤️
They should just release more foundation shapes. Curved ones should have been done after the first update really.

"Bloody emoji" :p
🎉
🕺🕺🕺🕺
can it be made in blueprint mode?
Does using this, or any other mod, disable achievements on Steam?
no
nice, favoriting this video !!
This is a pretty shitty mod. I used to use the "Perfect Circles" mod but unfortunately it's broken now.
