Maaaaaaaan, Thanks A Lot!!!! I was a Vintage Guitar Dealer for over 30 years, I had a serious back injury and I can't have a booth anymore. I can't gig anymore either. I've played out for around 60 years. I've been out of it for five years now. I would do as many shows that I could. I sure miss having a booth and buying/selling and talking to everyone. Making $$$ too. You did an Excellent Job videoing, showing the guitars and prices. Most guys don't show the prices. GREAT JOB & THANK YOU BUDDY!!!
@lazyboyandtherockers8050 absolutely love the story ❤️ Even though it's sad, it tells a lot of history and good memories and moments. I wish I could take you to another one. Next month I will be going to another one so stay tuned. Thank you for the support 👍
There's a lot of reasonable prices on strats , I wish I had the money to travel the country and go to these guit shows I would go nuts buying parts and guitars thanks for your great video peace
I think the "small shop" you spoke to at 39:00 was actually the brand Earthquaker Devices, no? They are based in Akron, Ohio. I wouldn't call them a small shop - they are sold everywhere.
@Smart-Alex lol, yeah, they are big, but they are still a small business owner in the great 🇺🇸. I was trying to explain what I try to do for small business on my channel. I sometimes don't communicate well, or at least that's what my wife says!
I went to this show . Took my flawless & upgraded Gibson Les Paul that I paid $1,400 for . Couldn't even get $600 for it . Nobody was buying anything . They don't except debit or credit . I mean who carries around $2,000 with em ?? It was pretty much a show & tell show . And it was a lot smaller show than previous ones . Couldn't even sell a brand new Peavey guitar amp brand new in the box for $100 either . I won't return
I agree that I have also walked away from deals due to not wanting to carry a high amount of cash on me. And if they do take a card, some will get you for 3% more. Times have changed for sure. I still enjoy the shows and seeing what's going on.
Looks like the prices are comparable to Reverb, which is to say they are about 20% higher than what they will sell for. Kind of a shame because people can check the guitars out in person but may not realize the prices are inflated. I would think a better strategy would be to have the guitars at least 15% lower than Reverb -- after all, no seller fees, people can see and play the gear, no shipping involved and people are perhaps feeling the urge to buy, having come perhaps a long way to the show and want to leave with something. But I've never been to a guitar sale show or talked to a seller about pricing strategy, so I really don't know....
@MarkBarna1 like anything, if you put a good or fair price on it, people will ask for you to take less. So I do agree with you. I also know why it's inflated. Buy the time you haggle you get it for what you should. Or close, I recommend going to a few. It's 👍
Im a prs guy, i got 3 core models, silver sky core and se, and 6 of the new se guitars, the swamp ash special se and the dgt se, are the best playing guitars i own, better then my core models, the actions are low and they play so good, the dgt has so much sustain.
Show me one guitar that’s got a fair price on it? A lot of guitars made in Japan that are copyrighted with Gibson‘s name and can only sell to an American fool ..quoting what I read and see on the other UA-cam channels. I have five guitars.. made in the USA .and if they don’t come with a hard shell case that’s a red flag . i’m 63 years old . The music marketing started in the 70s with the kiss band. Gibson and Marshall Fender. thank you for the video.😊
Good odds those BC Rich's at the 1st table were US made. Those are much more rare than 99% of what you focused on. When you are at a show and 90% of everything has a Gibson label on it..... Gibson isn't the rarities. Those are the guitars no one has been buying. Also, what something ia $4599 it's not a 4500 guitar its a 4600 guitar. Another piece of constructive criticism.... Rickenbacker. Not Becker.
The only downside to videos like this, all of them not just this one, is the person recording always seems to pass up looking at some stuff id look at...😂
@Steve.Cutler next month there is another one. I have a prs request, so comment on what you are looking for. I do this for you guys while I am there. Thank you for watching
"Music Gear Swap"...but all they have is guitars. Apparently that is the only music gear that exists. Why don't they call it what it really is, a "Guitar Swap"?
@ScottsSynthStuff I was making a comment about how there was a lot there, but at the same time, there wasn't. And that's what I was thinking 🤔 not many amps or parts bins to rummage through. But none the less Ed put on a great show with a great variety of guitars. Stay tuned for next month's show.
You skip passed everything I wanted to see. The world doesn't need another Les Paul. We've all seen a million of them, and yet you skipped by the only interesting one there. Skipped past the only PRS I wanted to see too.
@christopherhuff3123 I may have gotten it, I circled around a couple of times and found some other stuff is missed. Next month, I will look closer at the prs models at the next show. Thank you for watching 👀
@@ThatGuitarGuysChannelyou’re too nice lol. Dude needs to chill out, acts like he hired you to film the swap meet for him and you did an unsatisfactory job 😂. Great video!

@@ThatGuitarGuysChannel Cool that you're spotlighting them as well as all the independent sellers too. Nice video!
Smart-Alex Sweetwater sells them with five stars.
Dang it. I missed it, thanks for taking video, i missed it last year. I work to much.
I missed it last year as well for the same reason 😢
That red gibson 335 was a good deal, if i read the price right , it looked like 2200.
@wesleymorris1 yeah that's a good one. They had some great deals hidden in the tables. I kept finding things the second and third pass.
Last time i went traded some nos 12au7 and 12ax7 and a vintage jcm 800 lead speaker for a guitar i still have it.
A guy could make some money on those fender amps at the end, so clean very collectable and sought after amps
@richardfinney3179 Oh man, I wanted all 3 of them. I just didn't want to sleep with them in the basement lol.

If I had the money I'll grab a less Paul and a prs
@jeromejackson3632 The problem is when you do have the money, which one do you buy?

I was there for a few hours, surprised to see some pretty good deals there.
It’s a great place to find deals.

450 for the dylan rick copy was a good deal, if it plays good.
@wesleymorris1 I think they had a lot of great deals there if you looked.
Every pass, I found something new.

only guitar maters fact
You must be blind...
From the looks of it, the majority of guitars are reissues or 90s and above. The real vintage market is dried up.
Where was this located at?

on the way to hell I'm guessing with all that devil gear
They of course want way too much money for all this stuff
A lot of the stuff is reasonably priced the market is always going up n down you gotta know your stuff
