Regarding AI art, Thin Red Line Games never had and will never have a budget above a couple hundred bucks for graphic artists. Everything has always been made by me with very few exceptions, usually the box art. So, we are not starving any graphic artist as they have never made any significant money with us. I'd also add that AI art is an incredible tool, but is FAR from being easy to use in a product that requires VERY specific images. You may use it as a base canvas, but you have to adapt or change it significantly to get exactly what you want. If I were a graphic artist, I'd stop fighting it and start instead learning how to use it and make money with it. And believe me, there's a lot of money to make there for a skilled artist.
I'll be interested in hearing what you think of this game once you get a play in. It looks like it could be interesting, and the operational maps are rather interesting looking.
My copy is expected on Friday. I played The Conquerors back in the day, specifically for the Alexander campaign. This is one of my favorite periods for wargaming. Definitely looking forward to this one. Thanks for the advance look.
Really looks awesome. This game was not on my radar. Now I have to think about whether or not I'm going to succumb n get this. If I do, it's probably going to be a cup of soups for a month for breakfast, lunch and dinner...lol
I really like the map and counter art. Found it wise to cut the counters out with a scalpel as much as possible - it made clipping them a bit easier and neater (was a bit of a pain until I did it that way)

Well I have no problem with AI art if it helps get those designs out. It's 85% about the design and gameplay for me.
To answer the question about who is map artist, it's me as usual :)
The map alone took four months, research included, to complete.

That campaign map is one of the most beautiful I have seen, even better than Rise of the House of Sa'ud (I kid, this thing is gorgeous).

If I had to guess, it'd be political alignment of the satrapies with Greeks on the left and Persians/Zoroastrians on the right (?).
Correct!
