Great video and while I am a US investor, easily sticking to indexes and ETFs is a sure fire win for the longer-term.. Personally, I invest in VTSAX, VTI and VYM within my retirement accounts and dividend investments outside of them. From there it is all about high quality investments to hold on to for the longer term!
Except when he stated that the NAV is what the share is trading at. Go ahead check a stock price, and then look at the NAV. If it trading at lower than NAV, you have a deal. If it's higher, you're paying a premium.
Glad you enjoyed the video and thank you for supporting the channel. I don't have a column with the inception date but can send the file shown in the video, feel free to send me an email
Hi This is a great video. Just wondering where you can buy these ETFs. I am qith Questrade and they are not showing the Dividend so I am wondering if this has to be bought with the banks themselves. Please let me know when you can
Hey John good question! All the ETFs mentioned in this video should show up on QT if you look up their ticker symbol. These ETFs can be purchased with any brokerage doesn't have to the big banks.
@@DanishGhaziCPA I called QT and on their app it will not show Dividend and they said that if the security pays dividend then we will receive it. Thank you so much and hopefully the drop today does not last long

Mutual funds and exchange-traded funds (ETF) can both offer many benefits for your portfolio, including instant diversification at a low cost. But they have some key differences, in particular, how expensive the funds are. Overall, ETFs hold an edge because they tend to use passive investing more often and have some tax advantages.
Good video. I like ETFs and especially with monthly Dividends. I hold a few of your suggestions in my portfolio, but I usually go for ETFs with a monthly Dividend over 0.1/share. For instance ZPAY, ZWG, HDIV, HCAL. One stock that is not an ETF, but IMO a good buy, is Neo Performace Materials inc. NEO.
My preference is towards dividend growth rates, but every investor is different, and one should choose an approach that satisfies your investment objectives
@@DanishGhaziCPA Yes, very true Danish. Inflation is *_a very real thing these days_* given the rise in prices on virtually everything. I reinvest my Dividends so I am not really using them for income yet, and have and will sell a stock if I see a drastic lowering or missing dividends. I keep a list of stocks to buy when this happens.
if you're talking about buying US domiciled ETFs vs US ETFs that trade in Canada, it's better to buy the Canadian versions to avoid having to deal with FX fees. You may be interested in these ETFs that you get both US and global exposure but trade on the TSX: ua-cam.com/video/XA-3GT-FxmY/v-deo.html
@@nomanqureshi4784 It's a good idea to diversify out of the Canadian markets. You want exposure from the US, Developed and Emerging markets. I sent you a link in my earlier comment, it has great ETFs you can use to get started.
Gr9 Video Danish! Are all of them or any of them shariah compliant? I am new investor and looking for best shariah compliant ETFs in US and Canada. Thanks!
Hi Ahmer, if you're looking for a shari'ah compliant ETF, I would recommend this video: ua-cam.com/video/Y_cvAd2Q8dk/v-deo.html If you have enjoyed these videos, consider hitting that thanks button!
I am looking for halal option and since you have videos on halal investment, so whenever I see your videos are presume that its for halal investment. But I think you have mixed content some are for halal and other for non halal. It would be great if you can mention if the stock/ETF is halal in the videos that you make, then it would be easier for the people looking for halal options. Otherwise I loved your content.
Excuse me you stated that the NAV ( Net Asset Value) is the price that it's trading at which IS NOT TRUE! You look at NAV to see the value, or lack thereof, compared to what the share is actually trading at. If the share price is higher, you would be paying a premium. If it's lower than NAV, then your getting a discount!! I have never seen the NAV and share price ever!!!!
When looking at ETFs, the NAV is a proxy for the trading price. Remember, NAV stands for Net Asset Value, if an ETF is doing a good job tracking the index, the NAV should be near market price, which is why NAV can serve as a proxy. Always happy to help new investors learn, thanks for your question.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I understand that BlackRock and its iShares ETFs can be a trigerring topics. Some investors appreciate the broad range of low-cost, diversified options they offer, while others have concerns about their size and influence in the market. What specific issues do you have with iShares or BlackRock? I'm always open to hearing different perspectives and learning more about what drives investment decisions.
