Finally Dusty’s work in longer in-depth video. A true 💎 as always. Yes oh yes! For those that are trying to learn a thing or two like my self, turn the playback speed from normal to 0,75. Only this way I can catch precious spoken details. 👽
@@dustylumberco Absolutely it is! Not just helpful but enjoyable all around. I am sure that other people, not necessarily wood enthusiasts like my self will agree as well and I am not saying all of this just to say it. Also I lived to finally see a true pro use a Milescraft drilling jig. I thought I am the only one. LOL All the best Dusty and happy holidays!
This is definitely one of the better quality videos on UA-cam using quality materials and technique. On thing is that’s a lot of machinery the average person does definitely does not have… that’s not to say alot of this can’t be done by hand or with a planer but with alot of work and wouldn’t be perfect like yours.
I've been watching your shorts for almost a year, then I decided to start watching your old videos. It's interesting to see how you did everything before some of your new tools (festools, radial arm saw, etc). Love your videos man. Alberta!
That combination jointer/planer has me extremely jealous LOL. That's an amazing machine, and saves so much floorspace by combing the 2 machines into one. Not to mention the time saved by being able to switch between modes effortlessly!
As a beginner enthusiast, I really appreciate the instruction. I'm building my knowledge. Hopefully I can make me a barn door just like this soon. I could use a tutor haha. Once I don't then I'll be able to do it again and again.

Best video tutorials on UA-cam Mr. Dusty! I love your channel and can’t wait to see your next video. Thank you for your inspiration and dedication to building quality builds…you’re the best! Cheers from Minnesota.
What a great set of doors!!! I watched your video that shows a bunch of joints you make and I asked about a tool that cut square holes. As I watched this video, you answered my question. It's a square mortise tool/machine.
You did something that I accidentally did one time. When you used the biscuit joiner on the bottom for your groove, you went all the way across from one end to the other. Most times, a barn door never slides the full width of the door. You could've stopped the groove a half inch from each end, so it wasn't exposed. But otherwise, loved the video. Kinda like the New Canadian Workshop.
love it man, great job! i was thinking about your process and thought to myself, if you made your stiles longer, you could router out your mortises and cut them to length without having to clean up the ends, thats the only thing i would do differently, i appreciate the workmenship and the tip on your router jig to find center, cheers!
Love your vids/projects. Keep them coming. Soooo jealous of your radial arm saw (which wasn't featured in this video 😢). That thing is AWESOME!! Really liking the big, beefy wood pieces you produce. Want to see lots more.
The doors look nice and I enjoyed your explanation of the steps and build process. The only thing i didn’t like was the decorative black steel studs you put on at the end. Sometimes less is more.
Those confused me too, but to each their own. Personally I think it takes more skill to joint it without fasteners, but peened wrought iron is pretty classy too.
Your work is second to none may God continue to bless you and your family. If your kiddo wants to learn continue to teach him again may the creator continue to take care of you all.Bottom line
Funny you use old barn wood. I can go to any lumber store around and buy warped twisted and cupped lumber. Sure would be nice to be able to get nice lumber

I love that router trick, to make the groove perfectly centered on the edge. Thank you for that.

Loved the biscuit jointer trick. Definitely gonna try and find an excuse to use that at work now 😅
Perfection of any assignment is directly proportional to detailed design, and accurate planning. Thanks
I'm really excited about your use of reclaimed wood. It is not the easiest thing to work with, but the results are so worth it.
For anyone who loves woodworking your videos are just brilliant. 😊
I get so many ideas watching your videos. I am new to wood working and I can destroy any piece of wood!!

That mortising jig is amazing but the one you’ve linked on Amazon is only for compact routers. How do I get one like you’re using?

These cracks in the boards doesn't impact the door's stability, right?
Magic!!!
Best work
Master. Bravo.💪💪👏👏
should you wait on adding the studs if your putting a finish on the doors?
yes
Wow nice work, that looks very good!
How much time did you need for the work.
Thank you!! I didn’t keep track of hours as I was also filming and had other projects I was working on

Oh, you actually speak! 🙂
Nice!!! What chisels do you use?
Awesome skills on this builder. He is also ery good with is explanations.
He would do well to invest in a "Rode Wireless Go" mic.
опять красавчик ))))))))
Whats the name of that router centering jig you used?
Maestro 🤚
Do you work from plans or drawings?
You buy a good radial arm saw and can cut out some steps in your process.
