@@bernardoheusi6146 Yeah, the Jaegermech is a pretty awesome mech, but not in this game. The arms have huge hitboxes, as usual, and the AI can't handle ranged firesupport very well. That's why I would prefer the Rifleman, because even though it's lower tier, it has 25% stronger arms and can actually manage to keep it's weapons alive. Btw, Jenner, Cicada and Stalker all suffer from the same problem, but depending on the variant they don't have all their stuff in the arms.

I find the raids are pretty quick. I run a hero firestarter solo and just mad dash to the objectives wreck that shit, and bail. lol fast cash cheap repairs which are usually less then the coverage. Quite a rush. No salvage but the missions maybe take 3-5 mins. Easy 700k-1m c-bills with rep points. Afterwards you can start repairs on the firestarter or light of your choice , and go do another contract with your main force in the same system.
I'm liking the Panther, I gave my pilots the mediums and use the light myself. It seems to survive a little longer that way. Also I appear to have a decent amount of success legging mechs with it. What the PPC doesn't shred the SRMs wreck :)
For the Trebuchet, put the LRM15 in the torso since it's less likely to get lost than in the arm. Also I'd move the ammo in the left torso into the left leg.
That double mission is the first time I lost a pilot. running back to the extraction and got taken out with a head shot. I was surprised when a mostly fresh mech went down. :D
I feel like disappointment is the theme of MechMercs5. The characters seem way more poorly acted and not nearly as well written. Also, way fewer unique voice lines for characters and missions. Mech customization is about on par with the last iteration but nothing really fun and new. And there doesn't appear to be anything at all with the level of personalization that Solaris had in MechMercs4. Ultimately, 5 got a bigger map and better graphics, but everything else is a pretty solid downgrade from the previous one.
Been watching your series to analyze my thoughts about MW5. I do plan on buying it and I am excited for the MW series to continue. However, I must say I think I prefer MW4 Mercs more. I wish they would have included the video pilot conversations that MW4 Vengeance had.
Each mission in a consecutive mission lineup will take a number of days. I think it'll tell you exactly how many days are between missions on the negotiations screen. Anyway, if you have 3 or more consecutive missions you can actually do some repairs between missions. Do your first mission and queue up your repairs afterwards. For your second mission you'll have to take new 'Mechs but if your repairs on your 'Mechs from the first mission weren't too extensive they'll be done for the third. It's usually 8-12 days in-between most missions so maybe that'll help. Obviously this is more useful the more consecutive missions there are.
@@torvalis1968 honestly, I don't even have the game. i just figured that first mission was sort of like "tutorial" on how to find loot in game., but Baba Yaga is saying they are so I guess it's worth using a couple laser hits to find out.
I haven't noticed anything in them since that one story mission but I also haven't really been looking. I'm fairly sure those buildings are repairbays owned by the enemy or at least just not usable by your own forces apart from one mission that I know of.
With regard to warzones & repairs: You'll notice that later missions are x3. At the same time, missions don't allow you to repair your lance mechs between fights... BUT: If you have 2 lances (or at least several mechs) you can put mechs that you've used in the first fight in the mechbay for repairs (and if it's light damage and only takes a few days) you can potentially have that mech back after finishing the middle mission. So... Battle 1 = 3-4 mechs Battle 2 = some other mechs Battle 3 = whatever mechs you have + whatever got fixed after the first battle in the time it took for the mission to complete. If it takes 7-12 days for a mission to complete, you can fix quite a lot of damage. It's still a bit clunky and the game does not explain this, but it's doable.
So correct me if I am wrong please, but in my game i have noticed that when you move weapons on and off and around the mech it adds days and cost to the repair. Also you are paying a fortune for repairs in conflict zones. Sometimes I have had the conflict zone penalty be more than the repairs at an industrial zone. Yes I know you have to pay travel fees but 200k in travel fees is cheaper than 800k in penalties.
7:51 you don't have to drop right away, if you have inventory/mechs you can change out the damaged mechs.. you set yourself up for failure. you don't have to drop with the same lance on these multi missions.
I know it's been awhile since this video but i still have to do it. When you were going through your salvage for the first fight from the two mission contract I was yelling at you for not picking up more SRM ammo.
The raid mission take long cause you bring an entire lance. Raids one of the only mission types you can complete with just a fast light mech. Challenging latter on but as long as you destroy all the targets you still get paid. Even if your mech gets taken down.
im loving this game so far, just wish we could have more that a single lance. maybe give us the option to take in two lances for the battleground missions for a little risk and reward
On multi-missions, yes you can't repair between missions, but you can replace mechs, if you have others that are within tonnage limit. Makes the triple missions a bit less difficult, but means you need more mechs ready obviously.
Your first statement is wrong: You can repair, but you can't wait for repairs. Don't forget that you will have to wait out the duration stated on the negotiation screen after the mission, which can be used for repairs.
@@Mohrrunkel You are correct. I was trying to say that you can't get an individual mech repaired from one mission to the next. But if the damage is low enough, it may have enough time to be repaired so you can use it again in mission 3 or 4 on the longer missions chains. Though I haven't done this, as I always try to stock up enough mechs that I can use mostly fresh mechs on every mission.
I'm a big fan of the hunchback, but I couldn't pass over the heroic Wolverine and heroic Quickdraw I saw pop up. Absolutely crushing for the 200 -ton bracket.
Same here, I have an all Hunchie lance (2x4P and 2x4SP) for those peasky 200ton missions. Thankfully I now just run anything I want and bypass the BS tonnage limit
Man I know he gets it by now since this is an older vid but damn, for all the talk of liking the idea of having to dip in and out of conflict zones to repair he sure loves to waste money in conflict zone repairs. Some of the zones have absurdly high malus to the cost and time it takes to repair. Also: Speaks of going to go shopping after the mission he just completes... repairs in conflict zone and THEN flies to industrial hubs. This hurts so bad.
The damage visual for the mechs shows a back and front view, that's what's confusing you. It did display correctly with it showing the right arm gone in both displays showing it being the right arm that was destroyed. Hope that helps. By the way loving these play throughs even though I plan to by this game and I'm kind of spoiling it for myself but the contents just to much fun to watch...
About the only thing I have to say against this game (other then the bugs) is that I wish they would let you take out two lances of mechs (or up to depending on the mission).
17:17 - It doesn't show that the left arm is gone. It's looking at you, so its right arm in on the left side of the screen. Unless I'm misunderstanding you.
You are missunderstanding something here. The paper doll has "R" and "L" underneath and is clearly indicating that the left arm is missing. However if you look at the 3D-model in the center of the screen it's clearly the other arm that's missing. Bara is right here.
Jupp, 20% less hitpoints on the arms for the Jaeger, take the Rifleman instead. Btw, if you want to take down a Jaegermech, don't go for the torsos, all the armor/structure points missing from the arms got put in there, so they are pretty though.
I picked up a Black Jack from the market that had a blue outline around it, and seemed to be a laser variant only. Would you happen to know anything about that?
It's a rare mech, some have gold around them and they are called hero mechs. Save your game then fly to an industrial hub to see if there are hero mechs for sale, if not reload your safe spot and fly there again until you find good hero mechs. I currently have 6 hero mechs.
@@MichaelSmith-co1xs The blue outline is a bit unreliable though. Had a blue Trebuchet-7K in a shop next to a 7k without the outline. Doesn't make sense, especially when the 7k variant isn't even rare, I have sold like 4 or 5 of them so far. But the golden hero mechs are almost always worth their bucks, they bring lostech stuff
Whats your general opinion on the game? I will be getting it someday but it was more towards its Steam release which is in a looong time still. Is it good enough for me to put aside my avertion of Epic or I can wait without much loss for now?
If you want it, get it on EGS. Currently it has a couple of bugs, some design-issues, and it is in need of some Quality of Life updates to UI/Coop. I'd wait, but I'm patient.

I have a theory that playing the bad guy last video was the direct cause of baradul sudden misses shots with the AC-10...he unconsciously punish himself out of guilt.
He wasn't bad, he was just .... alternatively good.
That's the way, uh-huh uh-huh, I click I like it...
if you think manticores are scary, wait until you round the corner into a demolisher with twin ac-20's :D
i also had an smr60 carrier spawn behind me once... ugh
Switch mechs between missions, you don't have to go into the 2nd mission with the same 4 mechs when doing a 2 mission job.
I’m amazed this even needs to be stated… but I’d also love to see someone try the same four mechs on a 4 mission job!
I'm liking the Panther, I gave my pilots the mediums and use the light myself. It seems to survive a little longer that way. Also I appear to have a decent amount of success legging mechs with it. What the PPC doesn't shred the SRMs wreck :)
Love the videos m8! Watching on east coast usa , love to see how different the game is for you then it has been for me
For the Trebuchet, put the LRM15 in the torso since it's less likely to get lost than in the arm. Also I'd move the ammo in the left torso into the left leg.
You can switch Mechs between missions. During a multi missions contracts.
That double mission is the first time I lost a pilot. running back to the extraction and got taken out with a head shot. I was surprised when a mostly fresh mech went down. :D
that cicada spawning in your face was kind of a disappointment :(
Hope thy fix the range where enemy comes from
I had it few times to
@@robinenbernhard yea it's really dumb the way stuff spawns in line of sight
Or when you launch into a mission and are getting pounded while still in the opening scene.
Ultimately, 5 got a bigger map and better graphics, but everything else is a pretty solid downgrade from the previous one.
yeh hate the close in spawning, it makes tactics pointless and the radar useless
with my Jagermech I went with 2 AC/5's, 2 machine guns and two Medium Lasers, been having a lot of success with that build.
That’s what I did as well!👍🏽
Been watching your series to analyze my thoughts about MW5.
All i want for christmas is my two front teeth. And a Daishi.
baradul by 12:27 you moved in the enemy base but you dont destroyed the containers "red flash light" with possible loot
Isn't there salvage in those square buildings with the glowy lights or was that just the first one you did?
Yes, high value loot is in the buildings with big blinking red lights at 12:26 Chance for mech chassis aswell
@@spccyrus6112 ... are you saying.. that ... they're... LOOTBOXES?!?!?! *Riots* :P :P :P
RaphYkun really? I always ignore those because I thought it was only for the mission that one time...crap.
So...
Battle 1 = 3-4 mechs
Battle 2 = some other mechs
Battle 3 = whatever mechs you have + whatever got fixed after the first battle in the time it took for the mission to complete.
You can right click inventory on the item rather than drag and drop for corresponding slot ;)
Love your videos and also dig your accent
7:51 you don't have to drop right away, if you have inventory/mechs you can change out the damaged mechs.. you set yourself up for failure. you don't have to drop with the same lance on these multi missions.
Also it looks like CBill payout is about 115k/ negotiation point so Insurance is actually viable above that amount of damage
wow graphics good real mech engine good!!
I know it's been awhile since this video but i still have to do it.
When you were going through your salvage for the first fight from the two mission contract I was yelling at you for not picking up more SRM ammo.
Can't wait to see these painted.
Most of his other mechs has been in mission with factory paint before it earns its stripes.
tfw Baradul left that MG ammo in the firestarter right torso.
The raid mission take long cause you bring an entire lance. Raids one of the only mission types you can complete with just a fast light mech. Challenging latter on but as long as you destroy all the targets you still get paid. Even if your mech gets taken down.
@ 12:25 aren't those the storage buildings your supposed to shoot & then loot the crates inside?
Lad gotta use the "Max armor" button more often.
Why does it sound extra awesome whenever a German says the word "scorpion?"
im loving this game so far, just wish we could have more that a single lance. maybe give us the option to take in two lances for the battleground missions for a little risk and reward
your going to have tonnage issues. i have 3 centurians and a shadowhawk. its super hard to field a full lance. thank god i saved my javalin.
Early game, 4 medium mechs is more than intended. You can field a full heavy lance later on, but I keep a 20-30 tonner on standby no matter what
@@KBBF3 same
Thanks for the video
“Like hunchbacks for example”
*looks at 4 hunchback team I’m currently running*
Best bang for the buck in the 200 ton bracket
I'm a big fan of the hunchback, but I couldn't pass over the heroic Wolverine and heroic Quickdraw I saw pop up. Absolutely crushing for the 200 -ton bracket.
Same here, I have an all Hunchie lance (2x4P and 2x4SP) for those peasky 200ton missions. Thankfully I now just run anything I want and bypass the BS tonnage limit
I run two hunchies, the wolverine q for myself and a vindicator er ppc for my 200 drops.
Kinda would like to see you expand on the story missions, seems they have no flush coolant as in MW4M? Fun to watch you play though.
you do know between those multi missions between them if you have you can change mechs and pilots if you have them
Maybe move the Jagermech's ammo out of the side torsos? I really hate losing two autocannons and a ML to an ammo explosion.
Reminder that in the multi drop missions, you CAN switch mechs in-between right? Just no repairs.
Can you carry over salvage points from one part of a multi-mission contact to the next if you don't spend them all?
You don't get to negotiate again, you are stuck with whatever deal you made for all missions of the contract, so no, spare points don't carry over.
I think you need to utilize the time it takes to go places to repair your mechs. And a few vids ago I saw a helicopter fall on a tank and destroy it.
So far, my biggest grip is there is no target under cursor key binding
Aren't those supply crates in those bases with flashing lights? Why doesn't he shoot them?
Take srms if you want to level up your misille skills. They are great brawling weapons.
Fairly certain A.I. doesn't use Jumpjets, so maybe save space in your mechs by removing them?
If u click cancel on the 2nd mission u can change your mech load then u can finish he 2nd mission with new mech.
The first thing to do with a JagerMech - sell the Jager, buy a Griffin
Where did he find the sp lasers? I can’t seem to find those anywhere?
Right arm is gone, left arm says its gone....lol. Guess Pee Gee Eye doesnt know left and right.
Sorry, am I mistaken, but did the Firestarter have MG's but no MG ammo?
About the only thing I have to say against this game (other then the bugs) is that I wish they would let you take out two lances of mechs (or up to depending on the mission).
17:17 - It doesn't show that the left arm is gone. It's looking at you, so its right arm in on the left side of the screen. Unless I'm misunderstanding you.
You are missunderstanding something here. The paper doll has "R" and "L" underneath and is clearly indicating that the left arm is missing. However if you look at the 3D-model in the center of the screen it's clearly the other arm that's missing. Bara is right here.
@@Mohrrunkel I see what you're saying. You mean comparing the two at 17:20. I agree it's a bug now. :)
Anyone know how much of the Leopard is explorable in-game?
The mech bay, the ops center and your cabin.
I would have kept ML in arms and put 2 SPL in CT. 2 spare then.
So many times I've had to replace the arms on the Jager. Those ac2s won't last long.
But the golden hero mechs are almost always worth their bucks, they bring lostech stuff
if u read this u should open them warehouses that hold loot
Have you found crates? I have looked but stopped , never found any
Moin Bara, lootest du die Material Hangars in den Basen nicht? (die mit den blinken roten Lichtern) ;-)
Er hat die blinkende lichter nicht gesehen! :p
If you can’t repair, can you swap out mechs between missions?
Yes
