    This video does the best job of any I have seen showing how to easily get the Axefx to a gig ready state. All the options and flexibility of Axe can easily overwhelm both novice and experienced players. Doing it this way, you can have 5 completely different Amp rigs which 5 different combinations of effects for each easily accessible on the MFC ! Great video. A lot of new and experienced Axe users will benefit from watching this.

      Love it. I was always a head and cab guy. I still have my Mesa Rec and cab 4 x12. Axe FX is just such a convenient unit.

      I love IR mic mixing with Cab Lab 3. It's awesome. I'll take one of my favorite IRs (from ML Djent or ML ZILLA packs) and blend mics to find the tones that I think is best. It's so freakin easy to use and give me complete control. Pretty freakin sweet.

      Byte MUSIC how do you feel about the 3 that’s available in March, I wish I have waited but didn’t know, feel kinda jilted saving up for the newest toy oh well it was new for a few months for me

    • @blasher4
      @blasher4 7 років тому

      Yeah I am kind of disappointed about it. I've only had the II for like 2-3 months and now it's coming out. The CPU power is supposed to be insane compared to even the FX II. Hey btw the way, could I request either a patch or tone match for a certain guitar tone that I looking to get. I've been trying to master this tone for about ten years and now that I have an Axe FX II, i feel like I have the ability to easily get it. Could you help me out by any chance?? I'll go ahead and hit the like and subscribe button while i am at it..

      Byte MUSIC I don’t have subscription set up but I be posting some lessons and touring stuff when I can, I have some cool back stage stuff with Heart, Joan Jet and Cheap Trick yeah I’m an old dude but anyway name your poison

    I have the XL+ and this video did wonders! Thank you! I still can’t find a decent video of how to assign the presets into the MFC, though.

    Nice video (as always) Cooper. I would just add that setting the Delay, Multi-Delay, and Reverb bypass states to 'Mute Fx In' will allow the 'trails' to continue when bypassed.... Making the scenes even more seam-less....
    Super clean studio too!!!

      roughhousemoke yep, I always do that. I didn't want to change *anything* even remotely advanced in this to show that even the bare minimum will get you stage ready.

    How would it sound through headphones? I've moved to an apartment with pretty thin walls, I can't crank my HRD3 anymore so I'm looking to sell half my pedalboard to go towards one of these and a great set of high impedance studio headphones.

    Instead of saying "consider scenes as presets within presets", which explains nothing, if people only said "consider presets as rigs and scenes as different states of a given rig", it would be way easy to understand and quick.

    • @coopercarter
      @coopercarter 7 років тому +6

      Which is what I say right after that.

    • @narendrakrane
      @narendrakrane 7 років тому

      No offence Cooper, I like your reviews, the sounds and your playing. Just wanted to add my 2 cents to the community. The explanation that follows still doesn't drive the point home, but if someone says "consider presets as rigs and scenes as different states of a given rig" it is immediately understood. This is because that is what exactly it is: Presets are "Rigs" and scenes are "States of a given rig". IMHO. Cheers! Keep rocking!
