This album (technically EP) is really underrated. Definitely a good batch of tracks here. I like to listen to it every once in a while and soak up the relaxing atmosphere it exudes.
PMM526 This record was my only solace for a while during a terrible break up. This record just hurts my head now, still love it dearly though.
Yeah, this one closes the lovable "jangly" Mac for me. "This Old Dog" still has it's moments, but elevator music is introduced there, which is not why I started enjoying DeMarco.

Yes! My personal favorites of Mac Demarco.
Mac Demarco once had his red shoes posted on eBay, the same ones on that cover, and sold it for around $1000+
Jerry Lopez it actually sold for 21,000 but the person ended not paying for it so him and vans both split the price bc it was for a girls rock band charity lool
I will honestly say that the first time I heard this mini-LP, I only liked a handful of tracks. But slowly and steadily throughout my time listening to Mac’s discography, it has risen in rank and I’d now consider it at the top of my list of Mac’s albums.
And what I love about these videos of your first listens is it opens my eyes to music I’ve already heard. It cements and reinvigorates my thoughts and feelings on these albums but especially this one.

Who can blame you for loving Mac? :)Easy guy to like. "No Other Heart" is one of my fave songs by him. It's so uplifting, you can't help but to smile as soon as it starts. Agree that it it's reminding of Paul McCartney.

I think so, the type of sound he went for on it is soo cool and relaxing I really enjoyed his demo version of the record as well showing a bunch of different takes on songs that made the album and some that didn’t. Mac demarco is really something special all around.

Mac wanted to make an album of love songs so he made this ep bc more ppl can relate to it and not try to nitpick at his lyrics...my first listen of this album i wasnt amazed by it either but recently i cant stop listening to it and this has become one of my fav mac albums and “heart like hers” being my favorite track!! U should definitely watch this short video of him making this ep its hilarious!! Also, since u have done all of macs albums i highly recommend the artist homeshake he’s really amazing as well!!
No other heart has one of the best bass lines of the generation.

My man you've got to check out Mac Demarco - All of our Yesterday’s (Darryl Hall version). It's a performance by Mac and I figured since you haven't listened to him live, this would be a great start. Easily the best I've seen him.
Listen to Honeymoon! It’s a japnease song covered by Mac and it’s different to his other stuff but very soothing to listen to.

I think the album cover suits the album very well. Mainly because he out on something like a shore, in this very "fishing" look, ya know? Portrays the dry production and warbly guitars very well. I think the flourished and reverberated synthesizers suit it as well. One of my fav albums. THANKS MR MERC NO. 6!!!! :)
Mac Demarco is amazing
For my part I took a good speaker to a rocky beach near my house and put this album on to help me with a breakup. It was a strange mix of bitter and sweet cause I still liked her a lot but I knew I'd be better off without her. It was a very pleasant afternoon

Another One is my favorite Mac Demarco project without a doubt(above the other records by an inch, i love everything this man does) I used to listen to this record EVERYDAY back in 2015! I recommend for you to listen to "Some Other Ones", the only instrumental record Mac has put out with some instrumentals that where not used on Another One.

You should listen to Honey Moon when you can. It’s just a little cover of a Japanese song that Mac did a few months ago in 2018. Kind of a weird little thing he recorded but it’s a nice song in my opinion

@@manuelgarcia9274 You might be on to something there, because I distinctly remember the day Mercurial (what's his real name??) did a reaction to Nobody when it was released, and he talked about how he loved DeMarco's "sparse" sound.
Although that is true, I hadn't heard anyone before him; not even Mac describe his songs as "sparse", and then not even a day later, Mac appears on the Zane Lowe Beats radio show to talk about Here Comes the Cowboy and during it, Mac talks about Nobody being "sparse".
Call it a coincidence, but I think Mac has been snooping around UA-cam looking for feedback. I've even seen him comment on covers of his songs via his UA-cam account. Crazy? Maybe... Plausible? Definitely.

I guess Here Comes The Cowboy is the only one left. Since then, may I recommend Vulfpeck. A funk group from the states. The bassist is killer. Try Thrill of the Arts as a starter. I really don't know if you'd like it or not.
