Great sketch tips! I always draw with pen, so there's no going back. I find it really freeing. I love your knees:)

Thank you so much. I’ve been going to a coffee shop for the last 2 days at last and trying to draw people and they do move a lot. This demo helps a lot in just trying to go faster and not getting stuck on small details. And the idea of of using parts of other people is great.

In coffee shops you can benefit from the fact that people stay sitting at a table for a while. They will move, but you’ll notice that it’s all repetitive. Leaning their chin on their hand, tilting the head, picking up a cup… so you can get back to Certain movements too when you’re sketching someone.

This is great! I never thought to use live cams to sketch. Now I'm following all sorts of zoos and city views for the live streams.

Dank ju well for that video, Koosje (it’s been a long time since my netherland course in school, sorry to write in english)! Isn’t it just sad? I didn’t even thought about combining a few people into one person. Sometimes I’m just shocked of how limited I am due to the way we learn to sketch and paint in school. Even as a grown up, 47 year old and creative person I didn’t came up with that thought on my own, thought it would not be allowed. I’m enjoying your videos very much and you are already in my sketchbook, drawn with my non dominant hand of course 😉 So fun to share my sketches with my husband and laugh about them! I’m remembering what it’s all about again. Thanks again and greetings from Germany, Frauke

Great tips and insights as always. Dank je wel.
BTW, I visited the art supply shops in Amsterdam that you recommended to me. They were good, but my wallet suffered....
The Van Beek store (the one at Stadhouderskade 63) has a fantastic selection of fine art materials and all manner of accessories, paints, paper, brushes, pastels etc. They also have a comprehensive stock of DS watercolours too :-). Thank you so much for the recommendations.
