What a heartrending video. Those poor little quail don't know how lucky they are to have ended up in your care. In this video you mention that you have a dog and a cat. We've seen the dog in a previous video, but PLEASE show us your cat.
Thank you so, so much for helping them. This hurt my heart a lot. Button quail are so tiny and innocent and easy to care for that I struggle to understand how anyone could let this happen… but at least they are safe and happy now. I have 11 buttons at the moment and due to living in Maine, they spend the colder months indoors, in our livingroom. I get such joy from their little chirps and songs that I kind of hate to move them back out each spring, but they love being in their aviary much more than in fish tanks in the livingroom 😝
Good for her, doing the right thing. Obviously, mental health issues must have affected her ability to provide for them, but she was brave enough to reach out to you for help.
I really admire how you keep calm when you handle the quails despite the situation being really upsetting. Knowing some animals live in these conditions breaks my heart and I admire what you do. Will there be updates on the conditions of these buttons?
There there… poor little Quails. Help is here. Help has come! (For you!) See? A kind, gentle giant, to help you get back on your feet. A new home. A new day. Hope, from TLC.
I ❤❤ your farm! Absolute HEAVEN! The goats! 😍 God bless for all you do for these babies 🥰 I think the quail are my fav's and obviously Finn 🤗 the button babies are so dang precious!
Sounds similar to my situation with the Coturnix I got, they were on about 4" of fecal matter all winter by how it looked. I had to carefully soak/remove poo balls(not as bad as your buttons) from at least 3 or 4 out of the 10. Also had to trim nails on all of them. When I saw them I knew I was taking them and they would be pets not meat. They are doing well now. I am not gonna lie I shed a few tears over both of our situations.
I’m becoming invested in the follow up stories but new to your channel. Stumbled upon by someone else posting your content but I’ll search your channel a little more to see if I can learn more.
Unfortunately people with mental problems sometimes take on animals and responsibilities they can’t handle. It was probably difficult for that woman to even reach out for help. Thank god the quails are safe now. If one can’t care for an animal, rehome it, atleast she did that right. Should have been done a long time ago, though…
Love you and yours and what you're doing for neglected pets, Bernard. 💙❤💙
😅 How sweet!! 🤍🕊️God bless you for caring for these babies!! 🍼They know you helping them so they not mad, they love you!!🐣🐣🕊️
