- The Victorian Greens wanted to debate a crazy motion on banning gas and coal. David Limbrick let rip and told them what he really thought about their extremist views on energy.

All our eggs in one basket is stupidity itself.
Greens are totally blind to the wind farm graveyards.
You tell em’, Dave!
Who is our government taking their orders from if not the people they work for ?
The UN.
The UN, WEF, NATO, WHO.
@@jeanfsadni6338not NATO... But add the tri lateral commission and the Fabian society and AIPAC
the lobby groups who donate to their re election
Great speech
Yes i remember the franklin thing in Tasmania years ago
Every one outside Australia
The Greens need some self-reflection and some self flagelation.
Well said, Mr. Limbrick! Wish we had elected Libertarians in the US!
They are not listening to common sense Dave, anything but common sense
I never yet met a politician who had any common sense, although they do have big bank accounts and own lots of rental houses. People tell me that I should go into politics, but I would rather be an honest billionaire.
If CO2 were to reduce society would struggle to survive. Crops wouldn't grow as well, trees wouldn't grow as well, and history show that low CO2 are associated with higher temps.
Hydrogen is not an answer, physics tells us this.
Can you explain I don't know anything about the hydrogen stuff?? Or a decent link
@@shaneclarence6696 It takes far more energy to produce hydrogen fuel, than the energy contained within the fuel itself
Thankyou for explanation
Bingo!
Well said sir! Bravo 👏 👏 👏 that is the voice of reason!
The Greens and the Teals are a mass of contradictions. On the one hand they claim to be terribly concerned about the environment. Yet, on the other hand, they won't have a bar of cutting Australia"s rapid, excessive and utterly irresponsible population growth which is the biggest single cause of environmental damage.
Nuclear power, yes. Now because USA directs our Government , USA will not allow Australia to invest in the Chinese Sodium based nuclear reactor. ( cannot use the by product for war)
Changing the subject you have outlined technology would be great for the Australian wealth money to invest in. Western countries have handed the rains over to business to carry our society forward. With that mindset we have accelerated our society downwards. Things need to change NOW. Great speech .
Save our forest ocean God bless 😮
Where do these limited people come from, and how do they get into politics ? Pies might fly !
Well said sir
By product of Hydrogen is eeeek gasp WATER
Exactly, the Greens should be chapioning it and calling for the Government to fund and fast-track it. But they're not a real environmental party, just socialists that talk about climate change and lobby for special interests.
Greens absolutely promote climate activism in our youth, driven by the endless 'the sky is falling' crisis mentality ... a very dangerous party! Local Councils can also have a Sustainability Officer that assists Youth Climate Action Groups, it's criminal using the youth in this way. The Greens are an awful, virtual signalling party.
Do we have enough water though

Special Interest lobbying
Isn't that the whole of Australian Government
All control by the Lobbyist
LABOR is emulating the caveman worshiping the sun & the wind . The less developed think we're stupid & they're right. 😂
Oooh Peter
What a guy !!!!
Australia needs this and especially Victoria needs it.
Hydrogen is gaseous electricity. Where does the electricity come from?
Excess solar in the middle of the day? Having said that I’d doubt a hydrogen plan only operating 6 hrs a day would be viable.
A hydrogen molecule is different to a hydrogen atom. Two hydrogen atoms in a molecule are burned with oxygen, mostly producing water vapour. The electricity comes from that burning turning a turbine, similar to coal or gas power, but more similar to gas.
Some of the uses David refers to in this video though aren't related to electricity production though, a lot of big industrial processes require massive amounts of heat which you can't easily do with electricity, so you need to burn something, usually some form of gas.
@LibertariansAus nah, your taking the piss. Hydrogen is entirely made with inputted energy. Where's the energy coming from and who is footing the bill.
@@dirtmcgirt168 I doubt 6 hours a day would be reliable available from photovoltaic surpluses.
Hi David. Love your work. While nuclear fission energy is 0 carbon emissions, it's not "green." Look into the radioactive waste produced, and look at Fukushima.
What Japan is also doing is working on nuclear fusion technology. This is what the focus should be on. This is true green energy. The only waste it produces is more energy. Sun energy. If this can be perfected, then any energy crisis will be over.
I'd rather go back to coal and natural gas before doing nuclear fission, as it's the lesser of two evils.
But, i agree with how terrible the eco-terrorists Greens are. They are pushing WEF agendas and ideas.
They need to go. Now. They are destroying lives. They sre absolutely horrible.
Luckily the volume of nuclear waste that modern reactors produce is absolutely TINY.
Modern reactors also don't have enough radioactive material inside them to ever reach critical mass so there is no risk of a meltdown.
Also, Australia doesn't have the issue of major earthquakes or tsunami's.
Uranium fission (like Fukkashima, which itself was Japan’s oldest and least safe nuclear reactor when it had its accident) produces little waste compared to carbon energy, though very toxic and problematic. Thorium fission on the other hand produces next to none. Thorium is currently at the commercial adoption phase as the next generation of a cleaner and safer form of nuclear energy. First commercial thorium reactor is due 2025. Fusion is still in the proposal phase. It simply isn’t viable yet. Thorium is the much more viable future and there’s simply no comparison to uranium reactors.
The "waste" is in fact re-usable. And even if you were to dispose of it, this has been solved a long time ago.
The purpose of the greens is to depopulate the world. Why do that? So rich men can have more stuff. Not to protect the environment. Getting rid of humans means rich humans get to take more stuff. Got it? There are real greenies out there that love to protect the environment, but the green movement itself was hijacked by rich elites who want to depopulate earth. They simply don't want so many people using what they see as thiers.
Nuclear fusion all the way, but not fission.
Why can't we do all this work ourselves, we just give all our resources away often at below cost price. The local people are then left without resources, without power etc. Mining should be done by australia and we export the end product, at a fair price.
What are the Japanese planning?
If you search "coal to hydrogen project Victoria" or "Energy Supply Chain (HESC) Pilot Project" you can find information on it. It's actually a bizarre one for the Greens to oppose. It's taking what they consider a "dirty" fuel source and coverting it to hydrogen, which mostly produces water vapour when burned.
Libertarians like it because it's bringing investment into the Victorian economy. David likes it because he's a physics and energy nerd and it's quite innovative, especially at the scale that's proposed.
Another sunny day in Western Australia, my solar panels have been working away producing lots of lovely electricity for free.
and tomorrow could be cloudy and raining.
For the future of our civilized world, we need to teach children real science again and give the climate indoctrination the flick.
Not one more wind turbine should be erected due to the destruction of pristine bush land. There is nothing environmentally sound about these turbines.
hey hey
Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
That's All I hear
I agree with you about the Greens they are evil incarnate but it sounds like you are just as bad as the uniparty and want to look after your mates in big business in Japan why can’t there just be one politician that actually wants what’s best for Australians instead of looking after the huge multinationals. Fix our royalties issues first. Australians should be rich from all of the natural resources we currently give away.
victoria is a shit show
He is of course right, but he is such a poor speaker he won't get any where, time to retire David.
I was thinking the same. He is on the right track but stumbled through that entire speech.
@@Sparky_D Neither of you could have done better.
@freesk8 you have no idea who I am so don't go throwing around unfounded comments. I spent years speaking in front of big groups of people daily.
