01:16 DSG 3170 with a long colourful rake of containers on Shunt No.Y20G headed to Port Chalmers passing Bulk Vessel TS Flower docked at Ravensdown Fertiliser
02:43 A triple treat as DFB 7186 DXC 5206 & DXB 5448 emerge out of the Mansford Tunnel with a long n' heavy 934!
04:12 A very happy Loco Engineer on DXB 5114 & DFT 7226 with 927S comes off the 40kmh restriction at Abbotsford
05:10 Few days later we see the same pair of locos on 934 thrashing it above Careys Bay in full power!
06:32 DXB 5448 & 5016 with a massive train 926D seen getting up to speed thundering past Neptune Street Level Crossing
07:52 In dynamic brake mode we see DFB 7186 & DXB 5074 screaming past South Dunedin over the King Edward Street Bridge with a 2000+ tonne train 930!
10:30 In stunning golden lighting we see DFB 7213 notching up with a dead DFB 7160 on empty milk powder train No.931S roaring past Hillside
11:27 In blustery conditions we see DXB 5074 & DFB 7186 in elephant style with 930 rounding the bend at Burnside after coming off the 40kmh restriction
13:00 DXB 5448 & 5016 with shunt No.Y20K rumbling across the Leith River Bridge while taking 932's tonnage to Port Chalmers!
14:02 Couple days later we see the same pair of DXB's with 932 rounding the curve at Burnside in an awfully cold and strong Southerly breeze!!
15:33 Then later on in the night we see them hauling a long 926D as the train thunders past Magnet Street as the winds continue to blow a gale!
16:57 In beautiful golden lighting we see DFB 7213 & 7160 with 927S roaring through Abbotsford
17:51 A surprise triple headed train 938 hauled by DXB 5074 DCP 4628 & DFB 7267 notches up past the Mosgiel Station as the sun begins to set!
18:48 The train is then seen slowly rounding the curve at Burnside with the DCP doing most the work sounding incredible!!

I moved to central otago a few years back so this is the next best thing to being there around my old stomping ground(Milton-Dunedin).

Excellent video. I am most curious about the dedicated unit train for powdered milk! They used to have a train like that on the east coast for orange juice, but I’ve never heard of a milk train like that before.
