@@neoparmar2169 he probably said yes to Wistoria before he was even offered the new director of csm position. So he couldn't back away. Or maybe he was free during jjk s2 production so he took another project in the mean time.
Well, as far as i've noticed we already got less key animator overlap between JJK 0 to CSM and CSM to JJK S2. If the trend continues, completely different team for both might just be reality in the future.
The number of projects Mappa is currently producing is genuinely ludicrous. Off the top of my head both confirmed and unconfirmed they’ve got. Jjk s3 Csm Hells paradise Lazurus Zenshu Ranma 1/2 The rose of Versailles Emio (game) Campfire cooking isekai s2 Dorohedoro Inazuma eleven road to victory (game + film) Vinland s3 Zombie land saga film (probably cancelled) Yuri on ice film (cancelled: the amount complete not confirmed but it seems like it was still being worked for a while as director had not worked on anything since 2016)
tbf they are one of the biggest studio in japan and seeem to be doing really good financially as they've been able to solo fund multiple projects now. Also, most of them don't have a release date yet. Ranma also seems to be complete already as the whole season got leaked.
All I know is that this movie is mappas last chance to really make the chainsawman manga explode like jjk. Season 1 was way to short , the animation the greatest of all time though
Splitting productions might lead to a better and more cohesive product if given enough time. As an analogy, JJK S2 EP14 VS EP16, first one had more than double the amount of people, but the time pressure resulted in a bottom tier ep, while ep 16 had more time, but less people, which led to a top tier product
That's bullshit. Since episode 16 had top tier artists. While Most of people on episode 14 are inexperienced Twitter animators that have to fill in the gaps or Complete work as 2ka. If episode 16 has more time, it of course has a lot more workload, so it's finished on schedule like The others
Also there's no aniP like seshimo in Mappa. He can handle both productions, most of the staff are different anyway. unless you want to give it to someone to fuck it up or make it less impressive. Although maybe more anips that get promoted can help him on one of these projects

Its somewhat same as ufotable they announced genshin and mahayo years ago but still no info on that also, but in ufo i have faith that they wont mess up any of the show but as for mappa i pray just dont make animators suffer anymore ( which they will)
This isn't hate towards you and isn't entirely relevant to the video, but I often feel like an alien when people are upset or angry when something is taking time to be released. I see it a lot with games especially, like hollow knight silk song or gta 6 or hytale. I just know that the longer I wait for something, the better that something will be. It just feels really ignorant like these people don't know how long things take to be produced. I'm not saying you're one of these people I just see it a lot.
It's not them to be blamed though...it's the way of marketing it, why announce something if you don't have anything to promise with? or a plan when it will be released?
Do yall think it wont look as good becaise i thought the animation was stellar how they added the slight squigles that intro freaking amazing by far my favorite animation ive ever seen also the backgrounds looked so realistic i really hope they dont change it wouldnt it suck for a movie to look worse then the show
i just think how the shows are being split is kinda silly. by the time we get season 2 of chainsaw man (which if it wants to adapt the rest of part 1 at the same pace as season 1 will be 14 episodes); we will have almost 70 episodes of JJK and a movie, with a likely season 4 announcement that will cover up to the end of the series. but chainsaw man will be lucky if it is 26 episodes and a movie long by that time. by the time JJK is 200+ chapters into its anime adaptation and only has one season left in it, chainsaw man will be 97 chapters in with over half of the series left to go (considering we are at chapter 177 now and the series shows no signs of slowing down). even despite all that, the way MAPPA does stuff is just so bad. an over two and a half year wait (assuming the movie comes out early 2025) for just a movie adapting 14 manga chapters is silly. when JJK two years after it was released had 26 episodes in season 1 while CSM had 12, a movie, and an announced season 2 for the following year. the fact MAPPA at the beginning went from saying they wanted to adapt all of Fujimoto’s works, to then just sidelining CSM and letting other studios work on stuff (Look Back movie) is really not fun from a fan perspective. makes the company seem so poor.
Especially with MAPPA saying they will go all out investing in chainsaw man. It just doesnt show. And then we have Spy x Family about to get 3 seasons and already has a movie.
I think it was a mistake to do a 1-cour CSM first season. The director was surprised that JJK was much more popular than CSM and I think it's because CSM season 1 didn't get to any of the insane arcs in the second half of part 1. It should have been 2-cours that adapted until the end of the Gun Devil arc, then a movie for the climax of part 1.
@@globurim It does, considering the ludicrous staff it has, the problem lies in the management between JJK and CSM, if at some point they decide to split the production team and appoint a new Anip, that will probably be one of the "best" solution for both . And because they basically own the anime, they technically could pull like 1 season every 3 years if they wanted.
Prediction: Tatsuya Yoshihara, Hakuyu Go, and an unknown are the three directors of the Chainsaw Man Reze movie. Tatsuya Yoshihara serves as the main director, while Hakuyu Go and the unnamed director are unit directors, each managing their own sections of the film. Hakuyu Go leads Team B, focusing on surrealistic and bombastic action needed for the latter half of the movie, whereas the unnamed director oversees Team A. Between June and August of this year, Team A "finished" their section (not really) and then shifted to work on Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3. This was pre-planned in order to ease deadline pressures and ensure a healthier production schedule for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3. During the last leg of 2023, Chainsaw Man's Reze movie underwent pre-production, involving a visual overhaul from the first season. Character designs were altered, and with Tatsuya Yoshihara replacing Ryu Nakayama as director, the movie will likely maintain some of the spirit of season 1 but with new adjustments to better fit the "Chainsaw Man" style. The movie, initially scheduled for Fall 2024, was been postponed to 2025 earlier this year. As for the stylistic changes, just rewatch the opening of the first season or go to the newer official promo art and it won't be far off.
@@sw3545 ofc they did, they wanted another 5 fps bright colorful and bland anime with no soul put into it and ended up getting something else, people are such crybabies these days its insane
Nah, csm is the only Mappa's project that there's no production committee group company behind them who can dictate to rush their production deadline. That's why csm team production really have their time to produce it, and don't forget they make csm anime for almost 2 years back then.
Not quite. Chainsaw Man being in the same production line as Jujutsu Kaisen means that whatever time the team was supposed to use on Jujutsu Kaisen was used making Chainsaw Man instead. That's why in between JJK 0 and JJK season 2, Chainsaw Man had a little under a year to be produced, not two. Same thing applies to this movie as well. If they don't figure out how to split the teams in order to work on both shows simultaneously, they'll keep fucking with each other like this until Jujutsu Kaisen's anime finishes. Even though they technically can decide the deadline themselves, Jujutsu Kaisen kinda makes it so they can't take advantage of that.

Jjk is so lucky all of the talented freelancers are massive fans of the series. I think it was yuji tokyno(the 120% ep director) said they want to work on a specifc fight
Hakari vs Kashimo
They aren't fans per se, they are mostly there because of connection and high profil project. Given the backlash of jjk s2 there is a good chance a lot of them are leaving or takes less cuts, just look at Vincent chansard he will never work with mappa again and even several other top animators have shown their frustration too with the studio. There is a good chance future mappa project are going to be affected in quality due to this, and the fact every other studios are trying to upper their animation quality which means freelancers doesn't have time to work on mappa projects when other studios pay more and treat them better.
@@WieldMyWord a fair few animators keep up weekly with jjk manga and respect Gege. It also helps that Gege is a big fan of sakuga so a lot of them genuinely wanna help the guy. The teaser looks spectacular
I’m pretty sure we’ll get a release date sometime this fall. I bet we’ll be seeing for the Reze Arc sometime on Valentines Day of 2025, or the Summer of 2025 as some sort of blockbuster hit.
Bro I came to this channel after a long time and got jumpscared with the face reveal😭
Same 😂
3:50 Jujutsu Kaisen 0 took place and was written before the first season, thus making it a prequel and not a sequel.
The new director is most likely Yoshihara. Teppei Ito was the DOP for wistoria op and ed. I think that's enough of a clue.
He almost certainly is, I just avoided mentioning it because that's not confirmed.
If that's the case then why would Yoshihira say yes to be the director for Wistoria? Very well knowing that the staff barely has any time before moving onto to jjk 3.
Wait, isn't hes directior of westoria ,it's likely possible to be director for multiple anime for the same time
I mean unlikely
@@neoparmar2169 he probably said yes to Wistoria before he was even offered the new director of csm position. So he couldn't back away. Or maybe he was free during jjk s2 production so he took another project in the mean time.
I almost forgot a movie was being made
At this point they might as well jsut remake the entire series as a collection of like 3 different full 2 hour movies or something.
Well, as far as i've noticed we already got less key animator overlap between JJK 0 to CSM and CSM to JJK S2. If the trend continues, completely different team for both might just be reality in the future.
which will come first, reze arc or silksong
The number of projects Mappa is currently producing is genuinely ludicrous. Off the top of my head both confirmed and unconfirmed they’ve got.

Hells paradise
Lazurus
Zenshu
Ranma 1/2
The rose of Versailles
Emio (game)
Campfire cooking isekai s2
Dorohedoro
Inazuma eleven road to victory (game + film)
Vinland s3
Zombie land saga film (probably cancelled)
Yuri on ice film (cancelled: the amount complete not confirmed but it seems like it was still being worked for a while as director had not worked on anything since 2016)
tbf they are one of the biggest studio in japan and seeem to be doing really good financially as they've been able to solo fund multiple projects now.

@@A1000-b9s They already promoted some new aniP for projects like Inazuma, random ads and they already have some PA with big potential. Matsunaga is like the closest one to Seshimo but he's still on Lazarus.

We are so back
Its somewhat same as ufotable they announced genshin and mahayo years ago but still no info on that also, but in ufo i have faith that they wont mess up any of the show but as for mappa i pray just dont make animators suffer anymore ( which they will)
This isn't hate towards you and isn't entirely relevant to the video, but I often feel like an alien when people are upset or angry when something is taking time to be released.
CSM is a passion project, the same way Mob Psycho was for Bones, while My Hero Academia was their cashcow
@@globurimsxf is a collaboration between two studios
Prediction:
Tatsuya Yoshihara, Hakuyu Go, and an unknown are the three directors of the Chainsaw Man Reze movie.

@@antont4974 It may not have the extreme cuts like the keiichiro watanabe yuji todo cuts, but it was still exciting. The gojo fight, nanami cut, panda scenes, and the last yuta fight, all of them were well choreographed and executed. Even the way the non action scenes are directed well like the opening scene in the school locker, rika's death, yuta walking in the intro, yuta entering the class, the horror element, everything was tastefully done. To me it looked distinct compared to season 1, which most shonen movies don't achieve. The compositing though is my favourite out of all the jjk anime media.
Saying that it has no ambition means you didn't understood actually jjk movie could have looked even better the release date of the movie could have been fall 2021or Winter 2022but mappa decided to rush it because of CSM Jjk movie was produced as a tv anime episode not as a movie itself because of CSM that's the point but still having a shorter runtime it managed to look pretty good
