Neither did I talked about any other parent who give education to their daughters. I just wrote about the one who think that daughters education is a waste. Now a days every where there are people like you who need a million words explanation for their thick brain and that too for their own creepy out of the point interpretations. I'm from lower middle-class family in local Basti, I have seen many families who can afford both girl and boy education, but they sent girl to govt. schools, so that they can send boy child to better school. My parents sent my brothers to lower fee school and me to good school as they noticed me, I'm best at studies when compared to them. I did civil engineering and they discontinued after SSC as they were not interested. Many used to taunt my mom, y u r caring much for Ur daughter. She didn't care. I'm really lucky to have them.
In many families parents should do like that, as girls are really better at studying. So why nobody says that it's a waste of money to send boys to good schools as boys behave very badly and are not thankful enough for all opportunities their parents could give them, as compared to girls

@@varunguptaPlanning Ofcourse.. But the Problem isn't it. They aren't competing with each other but it's our so called' society and some people's mindset which makes this trouble make Woman feel inferior to a man.
In our house actually, I believe it's quite the opposite. I am be wrong, not sure. But me and my wife give more love and attention to our girl child who is 4 compared to my male child who is 8. Both go to the same school, but we attend to the tantrums of our daughter with more love and affection compared to our son. Some elders also notice this and ask us to treat them equally. We do try but ot doesn't happen. I have had so many female mentors in my life. Probably more than male mentors and they are not inferior in any manner. I feel woman are far superior as they can do everything a man can do but the reverse isn't true. I or any man can't give birth to a child. Yes, society is changing. I do remember the pic of Nirmala Sitharaman as the defencw minister of India whom all three male forces chief salutes. I feel it's all about individual talent and not the gender. Correct me if I am wrong !

I haven't read that book, I will read it now but as an Indian women I completely relate to priyanka chopra, that is reality of our society. Mens are given opportunities within a family and they are privileged in almost all way. And if a woman makes effort to do something on her own, she have to face opportunist .That kind of freedom which a man enjoys, a women can never have it. I completely agree to Priyanka Chopra, as it is the ground reality of here in India.

Parents who said girls are waste to money likely to regret when they retired. Girls tend to still think of their aging parents more than boy. For example, my sister and I are one who provide financial support for our aging parents. My parents have two boys, one still need my parents money to support his family (He is 60s by the way) and one would visit them one a week with a gift less than $15 dollars.

The sad part is, education just like Healthcare is a privilege. Better education and better health are to those that can afford it. It takes money to get a better education. My siblings and I were lucky to have a college degree but man my parents were riddled with debt and it took as years to pay it. When you are poor you are most likely to disregard educating your children because it's a waste of money but education is the biggest investment you can put in yourself and your children. Thanks to philanthropists but they can only reach a certain number of children, we should all push to have our immediate family reach that goal.

These things happen right here in the United States. Boys are favored over girls still, happened in my family. Happened to me. I also had a coworker once whose brothers were allowed to go to college, but not her because they had to do what they could afford and the boys were more important. This woman was a secretary and thought it was her duty to clean up her managers coffee pot because “if I don’t do it, who will?“ She had been brainwashed by the patriarchy, but at the same time she felt terrible that her greatest accomplishment was head high school cheerleader, I met her while I was getting my masters degree as a single mom of two kids. As a result, she try to undermined me at that job. This is what happens when women buy into patriarchy. If women could just support each other, no men can hold us back.
