Hi Guys, your video is very helpful. I have a question. I have booked an appointment with the social service agency recommended on the furniture bank website. They asked me to bring a copy of my paystubs along with my landing papers. My wife and me are both working. Will our salary affect our eligibility to avail furniture bank services?

Do you have facebay in Canada? like here in UK we have Facebay which are marketplace groups on Facebook where people sell and buy stuff they dont need. Generally you get good and very cheap stuff there. I wanted to ask if that is used in Canada or not.

Yes.. Yhat is the welcome center...We stay in Markham so we used that. It will depend on the area where you stay

No. It is free of cost
This is a great initiative by Canada Govt and we weren’t aware of it. Thanks guys for bringing it to our notice. Just one question, is there any time limit to apply for it? Like within 6 months or something?

Hey getting job before PR is kind of difficult as employers do ask for legal work permit. Try improving your CRS. For that if you need help, we are here😊

Hi! We had our flight from Delhi. We did all the process by ourselves. No consultant was involved. I suggest you to do it yourself and save that hard earned money for your Visa processing😊

The problem is that when someone is moving here without a job in hand, they can technically be classified as poor. Now, of course people like us may feel like not to use this service on moral grounds but then others would still be taking advantage of it and then it becomes a case of "if they can, then why not me?". Kinda difficult to judge. I think agencies and govt. are quite aware of it and yet they allow well off people too to use this service because this helps them in several ways. Employment for Craftsman, shippers, repair workers, cleaners, and even dogs (to find bed bugs). Lesser trash on dump sites, reuse of furniture, saving environment, and many more.
