But here I want to add something, If you have more experience than your manager than it becomes the problem. with Senior software engineer role you do not have enough powers like managers and you might become the prey of office politics. Passion for work is good but to survive you need some power as well.
In India, it is really difficult to stay as coder and grow. You will be questioned like how you are doing different than junior people.
By becoming a good to great coder with experience. Coding is an art like Acting. Amitabh Bachhan is so senior and doing acting only, how he is better than juniors.
Nobody demoted me from lead . But me demoted myself. Because as salary not increasing and I got scared and became consultant again to continue useless learning only trying to keep alive. One should choose a career which actually starts at 45. Want to advice it is better to learn management through professional course. Reason. Once you do code , you will find years gone by and you know nothing. Leader will tell you donot know anything. If you have no finance worry, one should go for professional courses and improve yourself. The pattern you are saying due resources issues. IT companies are not getting resources for the digital transform resulting in better salary. If you are obsessed with code then low status possibly low salary. My ceo did the same engineering but he choos to do IIM. See the difference. I barely meet my need but he earns in crores
Intuitive but in other direction. Skill (coding/ management/ sports/ painting...) and Confidence(focus/ self belief/ courage/ risk taking capability/ hard work...) are two different things. And later is 100 times more important than former. Whatever skill we have, if we don't have confidence then no career is easy my friend.
@@interviewhappy Industry will love your answer so quick . They donot really want us to think like philospher or economist . They wanted us to think like them.I have a not read the book big con . But looking back all these years , myself think this age is age of big con artists and great con play , fooling people showing themselve great. Creating a situation to prove inefficient people . How to loot confidence and self respect of others .Create great myths .Just think about people after 200 years who will look at us and laugh at this great con job
