Totally agree about the cover. My fav is Punisher and I lost count how many Iron Mans I took down because they were flying beneath the ceiling, thinking they're untouachable.
Let's go Mug!! Just got to Gold 1 and the varying levels of skill expression by teammates and enemy players is wild. Some games go great, other games are rough but taking the time to better understand different aspects of combat, strategy and team composition is extremely satisfying. 💪🏽
also now having made it to the end of the video, as a patron i definitely am A-OK with marvel rivals content. i started watching you due to your thought-provoking insights into how companies are run and how they treat their consumers, but coming to learn of your overwatch experience and see you start to cover rivals is awesome! we have a lot of things in common, taste-wise.
I am not Peni main myself, but I have played enough of her that if I see a nest, I prioritise it over shooting even healers. Same goes to MKs Ankhs, RRs gadgets and Namors turrets. I see alot of people just running past ankhs, which annos me, because they are warning sign that you are in range of enemy Moon Knight and his "Random BS".
I play a lot of things in Rivals.I d like to note Thor is the ultimate healer protector. His dash if you can land it saves lives, and yes I do constantly look around me.And as you said, many times I die alone, but chasing 2 supports and usually 1 duelist far away, for like a minute I turn a 6vs6 to a 5vs3,and I dont mind dying doing that. Also dear tanks and everyone else, if you stand with no cover all the time you WILL die, doesnt matter how great your healers are, so dont complain, play better.
Of course we are ok with you making this video. It's more about you doing you while staying true to you more than anything else in my honest opinion. It's cool to see you branch out in content anyways. It's about video games yea? Then it's a win my dude. I don't play marvel rivals no. But doesn't mean I don't wanna learn something bout it. I can't stand ARPGs, but guess who got me into path of exile and completely changed my opinion?
Thanks for this - just started the game and mainly playing Luna as its fun but flirting with other characters! Useful stuff but also reinforcing some of things I was already doing
I'm feeling rather discouraged. This is my first PVP shooter and I am terrible. Accuracy, 11%. Thanks for the video I will try to put this into practice
I'm not going to play this game, but I do want to give you some engagement. Shouldn't the title have the word Rivals in it? Ultimate Marvel is a different thing.
it frustrates me to no end when people that have been standing in the open the entire game decide to gripe about less healing numbers. i can have like 2 deaths and 25k healing and still get flamed. first, there is no amount of healing in the game that will keep you up for an extended period if you constantly are in the open not killing people that have better positioning than you while they whittle you down and consume support cooldowns. secondly, how can i have as much healing if you are constantly dying due to your poor positioning and the other team is not dying? not trying to claim i'm some world beater and it's always my team's fault. i still make mistakes and occasionally miss critical heals, and i'll take accountability for that. but where's the accountability from tanks and dps that constantly beg the other team to kill them? honestly, i'd say i run into this mentality about 40% of the time (maybe up to 50%). so a lot of the time, i have nothing to be upset with from my teammates. but damn man, some of you dps and tank players need to realize how chaotic this game is and help me to help you by having better positioning. and for the love of god, stop tilting when you die in the open, that's on you.
I would say "tilting" is definitely an issue for a lot of players. Both new and reoccurring players fall into their feeling and what they think is happening. Mug makes a great point of trying even against all odds. You never know 😂
@@forsaken650 for real man, i've won so many games that looked legitimately hopeless at first. just have a little bit of mental resilience and play the damn game. if you get rolled, you get rolled. happens to everybody at all levels of play.
Yap, I never whine when my tank dies, its my fault.I know that because I also play supports and you cant keep em up if they stay in the open like fools.I also have to remind people almost half the games that there are 3+ routes to the point, not just the center one that the whole enemy team is currently blasting and my team runs in again and again and dies.
@@SnidelyWhiplash34 What usually happens in these is someone switches character, best thing also is if noone says anything, that means they aint yet tilted and they are still trying.
Lower rank, bronze play is sooo toxic. It’s stressful and not for casual play. Casuals should play quickplay or against AI. The competitive scene will trash you for being a beginner and not playing well. People will call you out even if you play a role you’re not used to because everyone chose dps. You can get the shaft and blamed for the team losing. Is that fun?
Quick Play IS NOT where you go to "Learn A Hero" or "Learn How to Play"!!! This game has a FANTASTIC A.I. for you to play against and learn. Go play games against the A.I. on 3-Star Difficulty and learn the Hero and how to play there!
Ai can never replicate human experience so I disagree. Sure you can learn the move set in an ai match (shooting range also exists for that) but any applications beyond SHOULD be practiced vs other players.

Mug I’m not even kidding after watching this I started working on my positioning and within like 5 hours I went from plat 3 to diamond, thank you🙏🙏

The best advice here is to not blame the others and focus on your own improvement. Great guide Dude 👍🏼
Thank you for helping someone who didn’t play Overwatch, by explaining some of the major cultural norms of the game so I can better enjoy the game 🙂
i love that you have pumpkin hill music bumping the background so often in your videos, mug. good taste is obvious.
As a Peni Parker main, seeing an enemy Peni nest causes me to press mouse-1 until I no longer see it.
Sooooo true lol

Love the SNATCHER soundtrack!!!

As someone who’s never played the game this was kinda confusing but after I started playing I got it almost straight away
Risk of rain music has me verrrrrry happy

This is the best newbie guide I’ve seen but you still used terminology like “cc” that is not really beginners stuff

Wait. So Mug started as an overwatch tips channel?
Is he going to turn into a Marvel Rivals tips channel next I wonder
I need to learn
This dude will blame anyone but my healer with 2000 heals lol
> self preservation as a healer
My decades of experience in TF2 prepared me for this...

Nah.. don’t shoot my penny nest lol
Who is that in the video thumbnail? She reminds me of Psylocke from X-Men.
So I've been meaning to ask, where is this so called Mug that you've stolen, and why do we not see it in the videos?
Mug can also mean face. Maybe we *are* seeing the stolen mug because he's a shapeshifter?

I am actually playing the game... How could you possibly know that?!
If your gonna insta lock DPS you shouldn't have the lowest damage on the team. Looking at you, Spider-Man mains that always go negative.
If I’m the only healer, don’t expect me to keep you topped off at all times. And if you run out of my range or LOS, I can’t help you.
@@Spectacular_Insanity After gold rank, people do realize you need 2 healers, the los part though, yeah that persists.
i dont bother with healing anymore. too tough and people get mad at you for sucking. melee where it at for the noobs
I have seen spiderman that had the lowest damage but he was killing the healers only
Its not about damage it's about quality kills...

Replace “Quick Play” with “Competitive” and I’d agree with you 😅
Word "money" was not said even once in this video. Personally disappointed
i wish they had a melee healer . i play a lot of dark souls so melee for me lol
D-Did he just say-
HEALERS??
Tip 1 - don't play the game, don't even install the game. Dont support generic f2p slop.
