Similar, I’ve been in Melbourne for the last 20 years. That slow walk around Southbank was excellent. Thankfully I’ve got a greenhouse that gets the same temps and humidity like back in Brisbane.

Just blissful. Reminds us of our childhood when we used to walk in rain, play in mud and return home for hot food. Sleep comes naturally when you see and feel the active Mother Nature closely.

I wish I could live in a place where it was green and rained like this for days on end, weeks, and months out of the year. I'm good with a day of rain for every day of sunshine. Not violent rain, not wind-driven rain, not torrential monsoon rain, not freezing or cold rain, not rain with thunder that shakes the ground and lightning that you feel pulse through you in every bot, not even a light drizzle. Just a light, steady, consistent, soaking, soft, wet, rainy day.

I love the sounds. The view is beautiful. Very relaxing.I lovre walking. In the rain.
I am from Adelaide, 73 and retired in North Thailand for last 14 years. Now it is the wet season here. In the late afternoon it rains like this for one or two hours. We like it because it means a cooler night after a hot and humid day. If I ever return to Australia I will go to Brisbane where I have friends. Once you become accustomed to a tropical climate you can never go back. Brisbane will not be too hot, too humid, or too wet for me (maybe too expensive).
Understand how you feel about rain, wherever you are as long as you are happy and healthy. Australia will always be your hometown, I wish you happiness in Thailand. Thanks for watching my video.

Thank you, this is lovely. I love the sound of the rain. I have lived through quite a few floods in SE Queensland since the 74 floods but my ability to walk now is limited. This is the next best experience. The Logan River is up I wonder if the Waterford and MacLeans bridges will go under? Also, I didn’t realise that the south end of South Bank was so low.
The Logan River at Maclean Bridge is currently at 13.04 metres and rising, with minor flooding. The Logan River at Maclean Bridge is likely to exceed the moderate flood level (13.50 m) Friday morning. Further rises are possible with forecast rainfall.

Spent my whole life in Brisbane until 2012 when I moved to Adelaide.... don't miss the humidity but I'll always miss the tropical storms and rain, just don't get that down here.

I remember my trip to down under in 2010/11. I was checking in on December the 31st in Frankfurt for my trip via Dubai to Sydney. There was a LG TV set at our gate where the showed all the damage around Brisbane from December 2010. Now 12 years later it happens again.

I'm sad of the flooding that's awful! I love the rain I live in Arizona and where are the monsoon season now which lasts about 10 weeks. I always wanted to come to Australia I had a chance to go to Sydney one time I didn't have enough time I work for a airline community service but I didn't get positive space so I needed to allow time to get back and I was working in Detroit at the time. I'm with you in spirit I've been going through emotional term oil and financial problems as well. My heart goes out to you.
