Roughly what most people seem to expect from the trailer, myself included. I smiled at a joke or two in the trailer but it looked so basic. As you say, the animation looks alright, but isn't that pretty standard now?
Pros: 1. The animation 2. There are a few standout sequences, particularly the beginning and the climax 3. The villains were kinda fun Cons: 1. The Comedy, while not terrible, didn't make me laugh that much. The slapstick got repetitive after a while 2. There are few too many "talking heads" scenes, especially in the middle. 3. It surprisingly doesn't feel a lot like a Garfield movie. You can remove Garfield, Odie, and Jon from the film and make it an original film about "Cat having Daddy Issues" and the film would feel the same Overall: Low 6/10 Kids might enjoy, but everyone else could wait for streaming
im still looking forward to this im seeing it on Thursday what intrigued me about this movie too is that its a Heist Garfield movie
It should have been Frank Welker voicing Garfield, but then again, if Lorenzo Music was still here, he'd voice Garfield until the end of time.
