    Contrary to popular believe the Polish Cavalry did not charge at German tanks, they maneuvered into place via horse back where they dismounted and took up positions to defend the anti tank guns and artillery positions, it amazes me to this day but I have only seen on documentary that has actually pointed that out :D cheers

      I think at the time, it was a case of trying to show Polish "pluck" taking on tanks with lances. Just legend became fact. When fact isn't as interesting as the legend, print the legend. And that's what happened. Anyone who's studied the war knows the Polish Cavalry were more mounted infantry than anything, but the legend is more interesting. Just saying.... Cheers
