Great video! Riverside is okay but there’s a lot of rental properties, apartments (cars everywhere) and it’s just too busy for my liking. We purchased a home in historic Murray Hill which is right next to Riverside and we got a lot more home for our money! We also have an amazing STEM elementary school within walking distance and shops/restaurants on Edgewood Ave South, love it!
When I was looking online for a property to buy in Jax, where I didn't know anyone, before I moved from Michigan in 2019, I only had one criterion in mind: my future home must be close to the beach, airport, and downtown at the same time. I found a condo in Southside that was 15 minutes to the beach, 25 minutes to the airport, and 15 minutes to downtown. All my basic needs are satisfied. I've been happy in Jax ever since.

I moved here 8 months ago for a job promotion. I live in riverside and pay more for a basic apartment with an outdated kitchen (no dishwasher) than I did in Chicago. It’s wild. Hey ! Could you do a video about best rental communities in Jackson ville? We were there over the weekend and looked at the “the exchange’ community but we were trying to find other similar ones
The best neighborhood is out by the airport. Find you a nice rural area with a decent house on it, preferably fenced in. Put you an electric gate opener so you can pull up, hit the button and pull in and close it. Anyways, better and cheaper to find a nice place out on the outskirts of the city where there's no crime and you don't have to worry about people breaking into or stealing your shit as much. That and you can do what you want and not have to worry about neighbors calling the cops or just being nosey all the time. I mean, if you want walk out your back door in your boxers and house shoes and bust off a few rounds to start your day you should be able to do that. But yeah, it'd be nice to buy a the next piece of land behind you too and dig out and pond and stock it with bass and dig out a dirt bike/4 wheeler track going around the property. Out in the county you can have a little burn barrel so you can have people over for dinner and have drinks out by the fire. It's worth the little bit of extra gas. Not even an issue really if you can find a place you can jump on 9A or 295.
