You're without doubt, the best teacher out there, you seem to know what the viewers are thinking and what their next question is going to be. Thanks for sharing your thoughts as you work.
Thanks Jason, excellent lesson on underlayer and tonal values. It really helped remind me to nail down the shapes and values in those first few layers to set the stage for more detail later.
Oh you make it all look so easy !!!! one day I'll be nearly as good as you , I keep trying . Thank you for sharing your wonderful talent .I'm off to try an under layer on a dog drawing .... wish me luck !
Thank you for this lesson, it really hit home for me when you compaired it to clay sculpture. Now I understand. Thanky for sharing all of your Wonderful work and many Blessing to you and your family.
I love to bingewatch your tutorials. Tiny downside; distracting from making my own drawings lol
Excellent tutorial. Thank you so much
This is so informative! Thank you!
This is an excellent tutorial and exactly what I have been looking for. Thank you!
Hi Jason - do you use the colourless blender with your Pan Pastels? and like everyone else I really enjoy your videos - so informative. Your very generous with your teaching methods, thank you.
Come to think of it, I did something very similar with a tiger drawing a couple of years ago, but I used soft pastels and synthetic brushes. I liked the result but didn't handle the dust flying in the air very well :D Are PanPastels just as dusty?
Im planning to draw animal portrait so im watching almost all your vids and very thankful i agreed all what u have said. Just wondering if i can use acrylic with water for the background instead of gouche?
Thank you Jason …at what stage do you use the Clairefontaine fixative …do you recommend? ? You have greatly helped improve my art….Thank You Sir ….
Have you ever tried watercolor pencil (activated) for the spots of dark you did with guache? If so, did you not like the results?
How do you mix the pan pastels to get the right shades?
Merci encore 💞
Thank you so much for all your efforts!
I have recently fallen in love with pastel and have made great progress in a short time thanks to your videos.
I have been using the 24x30cm pastel mat. Your tip about using gouache as a base is perfect!
How do you hang your paintings? There doesn't seem to be a suitable frame for 24x30cm. Only A4, in which case you have to cut off part of it. I would love to give pictures with frames.
I buy larger sheets of pastelmat and then cut to the frame size I want. Then you can buy your frames cheaply from high street stores etc :)
@@wildlifeartjm Thank you! This is what I am going to do for the special artworks from now on. :D
Toujours très intéressant mais quel dommage de ne pas avoir de sous titres en français 😢
Purrrfect does sum it up quite nice :P:P ( Still a pussycat. Just a Big one :P )
