  • We visited Kennesaw Mountain to take the short hike to the top. This is located just outside of Atlanta Georgia and has a lot of Civil War history here. Beautiful place with mile of hiking trails!

I've been doing this hike since the mid 90s. Great HIIT workout.

Adam & Abby, I know that you guys live a long ways away but love to travel...check out some info on the Black Hills in SD, we camp and vacation there every year and it’s an amazing place with unlimited hiking among the tons of other things to do. Keep at this hiking thing, and make a goal of hiking to to top of Black Elk Peak (formerly Harney Peak). It’s strenuous at times but it’s a long hike and when you get to the top you’re at the highest point east of the Rockies all the way to the Pyrenees in the Alps!! Awesome hike guys and use this platform as your motivation because we love following along. Kick some ASS!! 💪🏼😁

Kool place, especially the RR museum. Best to hike that in the fall, maybe Nov./Dec., no doubt.

Awesome place, I was lucky to check this place out years ago during some training for work. I’d like to see the naval flight museum in a video. It’s in Pensacola so should be close and awesome to see. Keep up the great work and it’s awesome to see you so happy.

14,000 feet is going to be a hell of a change! if you think you're breathing hard now, just wait and see. Those higher altitude hikes can definitely be "breathtaking" ;)

Hiking on little Kennesaw mountain is great since the crowds dwindle after the main overlook. Thanks for sharing your adventure. Just subbed!

Very beautiful. Keep working, that same hike at elevation in CO has half the air, which means 2X the work.

Kudos to you folks for getting off and getting on you feet. You getting the exercise and seeing some great sites. Be a prepared as you can because that elevation in Colorado can be a killer literally. Taking frequent breaks is just wise.

Oh abbie, i knew wed get along. Im always the pack man! Gona be working my way up to Taho California in about a week here, ive already got EVERYTHING and more packed and ready to roll. If youre ever coming through there, about an hour east i think, little town called Walker right on the 395. Been going there with grandpa forever. Little stick n gone town but no nicer people and the CUTEST little motel right in the woods named after the town. Worth checking out, if nothing else, for the KILLER BBQ across the way. Big motorcycle spot. Enjoy the adventures!! Love you guys!!
PS: i dont think yall are into fishin but if you are, ive got the only spot for you (specially for fly fishing) 3 generations and never not caught fish there except during floods lolol

One fall day you need to hike up Stone Mountain. It is another good hike but it can get hot in the summer and not a lot of shade in places.

Be glad you didn't have to carry a cannon up with you like in the old days!! I like to hike in my work boots because I have them broken in and they are comfy, the fact they weigh 15lbs isn't really an issue since I am used to wearing them all the time anyway. Nothing worse then hiking in shoes that aren't broken in and having hurting feet.

    • @AbomAdventures

I’m really liking my hiking boots. They fit my foot great and give me much better ankle support then work boots do. Plus light weight.

Nice Hike. You won't be doing much hiking at 13,000 ft. You'll get about 100 yards out the door of your car and if you don't feel like throwing up or passing out, you will have a smashing headache. Move slowly and be careful. Once you're out of breath it's hard to get it back at those altitudes. It's really bad in Hawaii. You go from sea level to 10,000ft and hop out of the car, pop up a short flight of stairs to the information kiosk and wonder what the heck is wrong with you. Mauna Kea is 13,000ft , Haleakala is about 10,000 ft. The super windy roads up the mountain really help people who are susceptible to car sickness to get feeling nauseous before the altitude kicks in too :)

@@AbomAdventures I look forward the the video. You always manage to get really good shots. That's quite the wiggly road to get to the peak at Mt Evans.

I know who's going to Pike's Peak, Colorado that's 14,110 ft. above sea level. Are you driving or flying to Colorado Springs ? if you're driving and going through Oklahoma City , let me know.

If you ever make it back be sure to check out Cheatham Hill which is further south of where you hiked this time. That is where the brunt Sherman's forces assaulted the confederate line. It was a debacle from the federal point of view. The assault failed with a large loss of life.
