Idk for sure with the older loader and older tractor but try it on yours. If you don’t push hard. You can actually do two features at once. Takes some practice.

Joe Scopa Good luck with the home build, piece of advise.... divide the exterior into 4 section, stain one section each year, you’ll be around the entire home once every 4-5 years and it won’t discourage you.
I have a 2020 John Deere 1025R. I'm looking for the same Pallet Forks you have with the fence but cannot find them. My local John Deere dealership tells me they only have the model for my series tractor without the fence. Just wondering where I might find the same model you have. Thank you!

@@billburkhart My John Deere dealership sells Frontier but the only model pallet fork they offer for our model tractors do not have the fence. They are rated at 2,000 lbs.. The heavier 4,000 lbs. pallet forks for larger model tractors do have the fence. I've tried Googling it and cannot find your model with the fence. I'm wondering if they no longer make your model for our size tractors. Thanks again.

Good video 👍. I agree about the loader valves. I was wanting a ck 2610 till I tested it. The loader valve frustrated me so much I got a b2650. I also wish all brands used the skid steer quick attach. You have a good setup with the many implements and nice property.
John Deere has self leveling loaders. Not sure if there’s an add on to existing loaders but they are available. If the bucket/ forks are level they’ll stay level as you raise it up. I didn’t get it when I bought my tractor but I wish now that I did. They’re very convenient

Im trading in my 2013 1026r h120 and 54"mmm next Saturday for a new 1025r TLB. I have titan forks. Love them. As far as feathering the joystick to raise/lower and tilt the loader, ive never had a problem. It does take a little practice. Like holding it in the NE, NW, SE, SW positions or that what it feels like to me. Good vid. Thanks

Great video! Thanks for posting. I also acquired a set of forks and have found them to be extremely helpful with all sorts of things. I have found that the amount of weight you put on there isn’t nearly as important as where you place it. I noticed your differences in what you were able to lift with different materials. Part of those issues were the placement of the bags and their distance away from the pivot point. I have a pretty good size custom built rabbit pen that I’ve had to move around the property a couple times. If I pick it up in the dead center of the pen, I can’t lift it. It’s heavier on one end then the other. If I find that sweet spot in its length that truly balances the load over both cylinders, then I can lift it. It’s crazy the things you learn with those forks as you use them.

Hi Allan, The wood chipper is a Wallenstein BX 42. It advertises it will take up to a 4" log. I've been grinding up broom handle size logs and smaller. Anything larger I throw on the wood pile. I'm happy with it so far.
I have that exact, same, set of Frontier pallet forks as you have, for my JD 1025R & just like you, i absolutely love the taller "head ache" piece on the top. I like how you've added castor wheels on your pallets. A very good idea, indeed. You were talking about the "curl" action of the front pivot section on the loader while at the same time lowering a load with the main loader arms, & "how you thought is was absolutely rediculous that John Deere didnt have a valve setup to pivot (curl) & lower the loader arms at the same time". I agree with you to a point, but . . . . . . their is what is called a "SWEET SPOT" in the loader joystick valve that will allow a guy to curl & drop/raise the main loader arms at the same time. You will just have to play around with your loader to find that "SWEET SPOT"! It is there. . . . . trust me! I suggest playing around with just your Frontier pallet forks ONLY to find that SWEET SPOT. No plallets on, no load of any kind. Or even use you "EMPTY" loader bucket (again, no load of any kind) to find it. It IS NOT a fast movment, but IT IS there. Just play around with your loader. . . . .you'll find it. I don't know what year your tractor is, but on my 2016 the SCV is duel function, it is just really really difficult to find that sweet spot diagonally. I will usually put the tractor back at idle when lowering my forks. That way it doesn't respond as fast to my control input as it would at higher rpms, and I can lower and curl at the same time... safely. They need to add an auto-leveling feature for the forks. But you would have to be able to turn it on and off. (I'm not entirely sure how auto-leveling works) That would be a nice upgrade!
The reason you couldn't pickup the 600 ponds is alot of the load is at the far end of the pallet. Where the 700 pound pallet most of the bags were closer to the tractor. If you were to stack all of the quickrete against the fence (closest to the tractor as potable) it would lift it without much of an issue, you might even be able to put another bag or two on there.
Bill, I agree completely!!! I, too, have the Frontier forks for my JD 3320 cab. The one downside of the Frontier forks is that they are somewhat heavy compared to some others such as the ones made by Artillian. Artillian requires the purchase of the optional high "back rest" to afford the same protection as the Frontier forks do. I use my forks all the time. And like you, I'm bit of a pallet fanatic: pallets for everything I can fit on them; pallets with casters, pallets without casters, and pallet-mounted tool and storage boxes. (I REALLY love pallets with my forks and my "cheap and cheerful" Northern Tool pallet jack. I generally eschew used "commercial" pallets, in favor of building my own "4-way" pallets of ash or white oak which I have cut and milled from my own stand of hardwoods.
Forks are one implement that you think you’d only use a few times. But once you have them you use them just as much if not more than all other implements. There are so many uses for them. I bought mine from a web dealer but they’re not frontier brand. I couldn’t see paying that much for them so I paid half price for the same implement. But they’re so valuable to have!

@@billburkhart i truly hope they come out with an upgrade for the 1025r in the near future. i find it dangerous at times and its just slow and tedious. when, you have to do baby steps on the way down with the loader.

Why'd you decide the 42 over the 36? I'm debating, the person selling me the tractor says the 1025r handles the 36 much better.

Which model of pallet forks do you have ? I've looked at the John Deere AP10F and then don't have the higher fence that yours' do.
