I’m really keen to try this recipe … do you think it will work with tofu instead of chicken? I haven’t found many vegan recipes so need to adapt all of the non-vegan recipes I’ve been finding on UA-cam!
I am going to try this in my Chefbox next week. My first try was a chicken/veg combo, I cooked it for 35 minutes and the rice was still a little undercooked. I'll set it for 40 minutes next time.
I made the mistake of not waiting long enough when I first got an itaki years ago. Definitely better to leave rice for 45+ minutes, especially if you use fattier cuts of meat like chicken thighs that can't overcook easily.

Yes it will. I will probably reduce or eliminate the corn starch as tofu doesn't release fluid as much as meat. Let us know how it goes. 😊
