This, Ocarina Of Time and the N64 in general is what got me into gaming as kid as well as into 007. I literally remember playing with my toy guns in snow as kid pretending it was the surface level.
There was a shot in the ass animation that was sooo long. You had to do it in just the right spot, and the guy would spend like literally 10 seconds agonizing and still live.

It was good for its time, going back to try and play it can be a bit painful on an actual N64. Funny as kids we didn't notice much the console putting out a slideshow when it gets hectic. That's a 64 with the expansion added too....Many N64 games removing nostalgia don't really stand the test of time.....The Zelda titles hold up well, though majora's mask tried adding too much detail to low rez textures and the games looks a bit sloppy bc of it at times.

How hard these games are to get to next level. Had to interrupt and make them stop - go outside...play real live sports.
I think it was badass how they gave you additional objectives on 00 agent. This game still has so much replay value. The music, the SFX, the models, the locations.... so good. Great memories with this one.
It really was and I don't feel like me saying that is just because of nostalgia. Goldeneye feels similar to Wave Race 64 in that Wave Race created realistic water and then pretty much every game that came after that on the Nintendo 64 water was still just a flat almost 2D surface. The way they designed the AI was on a whole different level from other games and the only game to surpass Goldeneye on the N64 was Perfect Dark by the people that made Goldeneye.
The devs were limited by the technology of the time but boy oh boy did they use that technology to create something special. It really is a special game you can play today in 2023 and still smile, impressed at the effort they put in. Add the nostalgia factor for people of a certain age range and even its flaws just become part of the overall charm :)

The music is hitting every nostalgic bone in my body. Played this game so much as a kid... but it's interesting watching this now as an adult like 20-23 years later. There's something dreamy about the maps in this game.. even though there's not much detail and the textures are kind of simple, they did a good job of creating atmosphere.
It is hard to explain what makes this so great on the N64 and as such the best console FPS ever. The gun control is so awkward yet so realistic. It is perfection.
It was a great one player experience. There was so many options for controller set up etc, the graphics and video sequences where amazing . Soundtrack was good When you add onto that the multiplayer it just took it to another level.
I actually like the more simplistic gun handling. To me at least modern shooters are really stressful to play with having essentially 2 separate axis of fluid movement. That's a lot to keep track of.

LMAO it's clearly being played on a PC using an emulator and mouse, the turns are too fast, Bond runs too fast, and some of the guards are dying suspiciously easily for 00 mode.

After N64 it was Dreamcast then PS2 for me
I don't think the developers ever anticipated someone to be this good at goldeneye, but I'm sure glad there is. I thought this was a tas at first, great run!
This is in the top 10 of stupid shit I've heard on UA-cam. He's an average player. He's not bad, but he's not near as good as you think he is. You're dumb as fuck if you think he's using an n64 controller as well.
wow didnt realise it had so many levels. brilliant single player campaign audio and music was also amazing. best thing is i watched goldeneye movie many years after the game
To say how old this game is it still looks amazing! Music is brilliant. The hours of fun you could have playing split screen with your mates too. Back before everyone was glued to their phones, we were glued to classics like this!
I'm a guy from latinamerica, as a kid playing a game in english language, i always played with anxiety, a maniatic killer completing levels and that's it.
But seeing this is beyond beautiful, a clean genocide spy achieving his objectives and missions with patience, cunning and clear mind. I love it, thanks for the gameplay
Yo igual siempre jugaba a la loquera, nunca sabia que hacer, the real thing was on multiplayer because you didn't have to know anything, just kill xd
What's a " maniatic " ?
The sound effect for picking up ammo and reloading. Sexy
The Best FPS of all times!
Best fps ever, I love Goldeneye, me and my brothers and friends would play all day multiplayer non stop after school, I still have Goldeneye connected to my N64, great memories?! ... 😀 🔥
Definitely my childhood I didn't even care who I shot in this game 😂 the death sounds were always funny to me
Still to this day the hit reactions from the enemies is still some of the best in any game, seemed revolutionary back in the day, and still plays GREAT!!!!...
This game and Perfect Dark, damn I miss them, even the cheats were so much fun
Big head mode lol
@@SilentNightBodomNight DK mode I think it was called
Yeah I recently played the remastered version of perfect dark and ot brings back nostalgia from when I was 5 and being amazed by it being the first time I've seen a game that had reload animations and being able to play with bots in an arena mode
Remember those big ass black pencils with no eraser for elementary school? Well someone thought that looked like an ak
And that klobb
You play this game like a wizard. If I had to show someone a demo of this game and how it should be played, I would show them this video.
LMAO it's clearly being played on a PC using an emulator and mouse, the turns are too fast, Bond runs too fast, and some of the guards are dying suspiciously easily for 00 mode.
@@andersvandegevel8355 Right? Based on the objectives it should be 00 mode but the enemies seem a-lot easier than I remember.
@@andersvandegevel8355 Naysayers...smh...even if you are right, I challenge you to fire up your fastest computer running an emulator with gaming keyboard and mouse and use cheats even...fast mode, invincibility... have mommy bring you red bulls and pizza pockets throughout, and I bet you still couldn't kill these bitches like a boss and make a better video, so why don't you give the man a like and subscribe and shut the fuck up! Just sayin'
@@mwmiddleton I don't have a problem with people playing however they want, but it's just good form to mention up front if you're using cheats/emulation/whatever. If my "mommy" brought me that to eat, first I'd say "how the hell did you get in my house?", then "why would I eat that garbage? I have more respect for my body"
I remember playing thousands of hours of Goldeneye , miss this game
License to Kill with power weapons at the facility is how my friends and I use to get it cracking lol
My childhood. the only negative point is that you decreased their lif and accuracy, but it would be impossible to do a 0 death/failure longplay if you haven't so. Control or Aztec. Superb video!
Really? Would you like to explain how I managed to "decrease their life and accuracy"?
Looks like some toxic water on the Frigate level haha!
I'm 30, I remember getting the n64 and Goldeneye and Mario Kart for my 7th birthday. It legit took me until I was like 22 to complete Goldeneye on all the 00 settings. Talk about replay value. Not even just the single player, the multi-player for both those games still holds up to this day. Super Smash Bros and Mario Tennis also still hold up although I think they came out later. I miss the days of n64.
Oh man this game was so good. As a kid, I beat every level on 00 and got every cheat. Still get nervous watching control. That level frustrated me more than any level on any game. James...I....
Anyone who has reached that level can agree the mission was annoying but the music was awesome. Tell me I'm wrong
@@THRASHDEATH1995 one of my favorite themes
I KNOW. Get out of the way, NATALIA! URRRRRGH
Exactly, "James I.." in my case ended up with me having to buy a new controller lol.
Those pricks just come thick and fast out of nowhere. Took a loonnnng time for me and my mate to knock that specific bit off on 00. I also used to fall off the end bit of cradle religiously :|
Coming back for the walkthrough
