    I lived close to Kelly creek and have walked the area. The posse was led by sheriff sela lamb of Humboldt county. He took the native infant and raised her. Sheriff lamb was later killed in a gunfight in 1933 at the pinson ranch some 15 miles south Kelly creek ranch. He is mentioned on the law enforcement memorial in DC.

      I went to school with a Clint lamb his dad was the sheriff in Las Vegas in the seventies I'm curious if they are related

    I have been in that cave in High Rock Canyon while riding dirt bikes through the canyon. Not much of a cave but a nice place to stop and eat lunch.

    I feel for Shoshone Mike , if settlers had'nt cheated him off his land the this tragedy would not have enfolded ..........
