I agree on that Fiat should have fixed this door lock issue a long time ago. The rear door has the same problem, but You had extra lock there. Have You ever had any encounters with thieves?

I use olive oil often, but you should be careful when you cook with it. Olive oil breaks down at high temperatures. Frying can cause it to oxidize and, like any oil subject to heat, develop carcinogenic compounds. When I fry at high temperatures I use peanut oil because it is more resistant to breakdown. I collect it from peanut butter that is not hydrogenated.
Paella should have lots of seasoning, garlic, onion, paprika, etc. Also, cook with the meat included, don't add later. Cook under low heat-- paella takes a lot of time. Cooking outdoors over a wood fire would be ideal for you so you don't use up your propane.

well done a great video ,the garden looks fantastic so you have been busy looking after it , shame about the rice being burnt ..but we all burn food at times , the paella rice can also be used as a dessert ,when it it slowly cooked in milk with a little sugar and nutmeg and becomes very creamy and is excellent with raspberries or blueberries ..just look up creamed rice pudding ,,very yummy ,,,keep up the good work ,,,

Scary shit. I have a sprinter and installed various mechanical solutions as well to make it harder to get inside and / or steal it. -- yes and I agree - Kiwowko is really good. However, Einstein goes through 15kg of food in 45 days. I also found the vets in Spain to be really good. I hope your dog is vaccinated. There are some really strange diseases here, like the heartworm and such. Bugs ... I use the good old Sami solution. No net needed, and I even was camping one month close to Kilpijärvi last summer. I understand you are in the Cordoba region. I am in Cartagena right now and will be in Cordoba next week visiting some friends. Maybe we could meet and compare notes? Look on Amazon for the big screen door. Our Airstream van is now new over $200000 euros and the screen sucks. Get the magnetic screen and totally replace the door area on the slider side for cheap. Where did the homeowners go? I’m a paella master. 😉

If you have the double button press, dead-lock setting changed in the van, the vulnerable mechanism becomes secure. It’s possible to test this by pulling the rubber bung in the door end and using a screw driver lifting the mechanism.

Any store that sells and installs window shades, sun blinds and curtains. They usually have cords in stock. Just take an example piece with you so you get the right one. Fixing the sliding door bug net is very time consuming and annoying, we never ever want to do it ever lol.

It is not sharp and the same diameter as the existing line. There is a grey colour line available.
For your net… Perhaps you could use ‘Spectra’ fishing rope. It’s incredibly strong and slippy and can hold 100kg
We have the same problem with the insect door (same van). Tempted to try your idea.
Fishing rope breaks the eye, which the wire goes through. The wire needs to we wider and very soft.
Unfortunately fishing rope is too sharp for that

why dont you buy magnetised bug screen curtains? I've seen so many on vans. also, did I hear Joni correctly that your van will not be insured while at the house? I hope I'm wrong! Our insurance for fire dmg and others is active when we are parked, but other comprehensive insurances not. That way we can save 90% of our insurance costs during this time. Pretty normal prodecure in Finland to people who dont use their cars every day or have motorhome sitting most of the year on their yard.

It is not necessary if you have Sprinter. Only Ducato has this "design error"

Hi guys. I'm about to tell you something you might not want to read. Russia doesn't intend to stop at Ukraine. Based on historical territories Finland may be in danger. Putin has said this himself. I think you may want to consider selling your land in Finland and buying some land in Spain or Portugal for your families to come to just in case. You may find Portugal's climate more suitable with lots of arable land to grow plenty on. Just consider it.
Good olive oil in a plastic bottle ??? That's a joke. You will never see any good quality olive oil in plastic Rancidity and sun exposure kills its goodness straightaway. Then it's becoming an inferior product. Maybe some stuff from lidl or aldi or other extremely budget brands will have it but that's it (and maybe Simo) It's a bit like someone told you Finns that you can have a good quality sauna made of plastic!
Thats straight from the production line, final products are in glass bottles. We keep it of course away from sun exposure.
