I love noob lobbies, cause it fits into my skill-level... but man, the amount of noob lobbies I've entered where a front-line player starts out with air or some crap, and players tell them "don't do that, we need bots/vehicles to cover the front" and they just DON'T do it, is insane. To any and all noobs to this game, if you are considered front-line, make a bunch of pawns/grunts early-game and just send them to the mid-point between "us" and "them" and you are golden. We love you if you open with that. You may be weaker moving forward throughout a match, but if you can do that, you are SOLID early-game.
@@nuruddinshah684 As would be expected, they're useful for their intended role, which is traversing smaller bodies of water. They're ideal for harassment and surprise attacks, but incredibly map dependant. Most of the popular 8v8 maps at the moment tend to fairly plain open spaces with a few tiny mountains dotted about and no real obstacles, so hover hasn't been getting much lime light. If it's a ground map, hover is almost entirely inferior to regular land units. (The only exception being the rocket launcher hover units, for their exceptional range, but it's not worth the cost of the factory just for that alone.) T1 Amphibious tanks can fill the same role of course, but they don't get access to the full range of units that hover does. (Eg the rockets again for defeating light turret defences)
The bismuth north border push is the way. Just played a game today where a team mate and I broke through and swept all 8 ecos from the north. Felt pretty epic.
It's a good front if you can push it, because the front just south of you tends to struggle to defend against you if you flank them around the back of the cliff. Is also a great spot for artillery to safely ruin their line and bring two more team mates along with your push.
COH music is great but the cognitive dissonance of hearing it here is driving me nuts. The original Supreme Commander OST would fit way better assuming it can be used.
My favorite maps are ones where I can be greedy with mexes, hide a techer behind me to feed a t2 con or two and provide emergency support while I hold 2v1 then pull off a nasty t3 switch. T1 core tanks plus a twitcher is enough to skip t2 entirely.
I believe it's measured via units produced, died, and destroyed. If all 3 are high then you will have a high aggression level. But for Shiba for instance it was -9 because Shiba was the eco player, no Frontline units at all. And even as aggressive as Winter was playing his was 2 compared to Dycus whose was 3 bc they were static'd up and destroying a lot of units. Or even Moleman and StarDom both of whom were hyper aggressive and constantly pushing back attacks ended with aggression levels of 3 and 4. So it's not just whether you go static defense vs pushing the attack, it has a lot to do with how effectively you're producing units and destroying units/eco.(for ref Star had the highest aggression level and was the only one on the team that pushed the enemy bases)
Loving all the BAR casts. The devs did a great job making an RTS that's just as fun to watch as it is to play.
this map is the perfect example where everyone have to hold the line

The enemy team knew that Shebas grand plan was about to come to fruition, so they resigned in fear.
Just started playing 2 days ago since I saw the first BAR video on your channel it is so fun 😂
Thanks for the Cast!
Did a double take four minutes in when Mighty Sheep called someone else op.
Great cast! I have some new things to work on when HOLDING THE LINE thanks to your videos
Hey keep playing and take on all the strategies you've seen so far in RTS games. This Is a game that if you enjoy it you can master it.
New BAR video, my day is complete.

Winning on North or South in general is huge on most maps imo. If you can control 3 corners of the map the game is kinda over
@@calebwilliams586 Yes just epic table turning Base trade can bring you back from that

please and thank you
Love watching BAR
scavengers have literally nuked me by the 11 min mark before, they're insane
I'm new to this game, how do you shift click so fast to build on the metal patches?
He presses the Z button while constructors are selected. From here you can "Area Mex" whis is also a button on the constructors. 🎉

Great game
I’ve been watching Winter for awhile… and I still can’t figure out who JIMMY is. Please someone help me
His editor perhaps?
What exactly is agression level
How "aggressively" you're applying pressure to the front. Sending units up front, focusing on offence vs static defence.
@@UnknownSquid So the faster you re attacking instead of focusing Eco on a match? I am curious on how it measures it
