- You guys may not know this, BUT this amazing game called Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars is a game that everyone should try out. My boy JMCrofts and I spent a few hours playing against each other and it was an absolute blast. Of course, I used to join tournaments for this game so I used my tourney team! Trust me when I say this, TRY THIS GAME OUT!

I need this game rereleased with rollback, i loved how you could use the bar to stop the opponent from keep making combos on you, giving much more depth to the use of that resource.

Man, I didn't want this game to die at all. When Capcom announced that they was gonna come out with Vanilla MvC3 which is a good game btw, I didn't want TvC to die. Good memories right there..
I played this shit offline for 2 years with 5 people and loved every second of it. It’s hype seeing people come back to it hella years later.

I 100% agree that Tatsunoko vs. Capcom needs to get a re-release on the PS5 & XSX along with collections for the Marvel vs. Capcom games and Capcom vs. SNK (and SVC Chaos) games.
I say Switch, PS4, and XBOne might be a better fit, since the cartoony visual style wouldn't be helped as much by the latest & greatest hardware compared to realism, enough so that imo it wouldn't be a good enough trade-off for the reduced accessibility of requiring the latest consoles.
So yeah this was my favorite game when it dropped. I genuinely believe that if this game wasn’t so dope we may not have gotten a MVC3. Flat out.

Ahhh the VS no one talks about
Theres only two reasons why this game didn't do well
1. No one at the time knew tatsunoko, so it was hard for people to familiarize them selves with the characters
2. It was released only on Wii
Other then that, this game is fucking classic. Got it back in 2008 and played It till the Wii servers got taken down

This is horrendously underrated only because it only came on the Wii. This game got Zero before MvC3 and it deserves to be remembered and the gem it is.

I discovered this game a few years ago collecting stuff for emulation and I couldn't believe that I had never seen this VS game where you could play battle of the planets/gatchaman characters and Casshan . It's a really fun game with a great line up of characters

It’s too bad Capcom didn’t work out some deal to do a Marvel vs Tatsunoko vs Capcom game at that time. Could’ve been call Ultimate All-Stars 2 or something.

I played this a lot on the Wii both online and offline. I still have this physical copy of the game to this day. Sad that this game have never been re-released on the Switch at least. I would get this game in a heartbeat if Tatsunoko and Capcom comes with a licensing agreement to allow this piece of awesome history to be ported to the Switch. And if they can, add the additional characters that they couldn't add because of time restraints like the Samurai Pizza Cats/Kyatto Ninden Teyandee and Speed Racer for example. Till that day comes, the only way to play it is on the Wii and trying to get it is expensive thanks to it's rarity.

The only Vs game that let me be a team of Ippatsuman and Viewtiful Joe. I love it!
The ONLY thing that this game did not get quite right was the fact that megacrash costs 2 bars off a 5 meter gauge, in a game where supers and level 3s aren't THAT relevant. This means that there's almost always meter for megacrash. and it is already pretty hard to touch your opponent due to the universal air mobility.
Everytime someone gets touched, megacrash. You can tell that MvCI kept this in mind when adding a 2 bars combo breaker on a 4 meter gauge. In that game supers are very relevant, so there's always that extra layer of decision making.
I still have this game on my Wii.
Honestly aside from the Giants and two characters this is one of the more balanced versus games too and you can use Ryu and Chun and it's a legit team.
My two favorite FGC UA-cam content creator. Also I made a Facebook Group called St. Louis FGC, it's open to anyone but it's to help spread the message of some FGC stuff, specifically in St. Louis MO. Also...it would be cool to have two facecams and the pictures over their respective lifebars.
Wish this game came out on other systems at the time. I mean yeah the Wii sold like gangbusters but that fanbase wasn't really into real fighting games
