The TDS of the water before your RO is Ok to be consumed..In fact it is the RO water which has dangerously low TDS...TDS upto 800 is ok in potable water
I wasn't aware of this while making this video, but not sure 800 is acceptable or not

I got this TDS meter in a plastic case (like ur PH meter). My tap water ( Municipal Line) reading is showing 052 ppm and RO purifier reading is showing 013 ppm. I received 2 TDS meters (by Amazon's fault) and both r showing same readings. Can Municipal line water have such low TDS?

That's unbelievably low, if it is 52 RO filter shouldn't be required, you can get it tested when servicing your RO, the service executives carry PPM meter as well which is recommended by the company and also of professional quality. That should validate your PPM meter as well.

If TDS is more than 1000 , then how it will be readable, suppose a test value of a random water sample is 1250 ppm, then how we can find the value of this TDS ??
This meter ranges from 0-999, for a reading of >=1000 you have to use some other advanced meter
Great video and clear information. Was searching for the exact TDS meter video as I had ordered it too. Our tap water showed a reading of 59 so I think we don't need a RO water purifier. Can you please suggest what we should use instead? Thanks 😊
But make sure to get it tested by industrial professional grade meter since you will be drinking it.
TDS value should be in range of 200 to 300, even 350 is acceptable but nay thing above 350 and below 200 can be harmful. Ro water purifiers filter most of the minerals such as magnesium, zinc, calcium etc that are essential for human body. A reading of 59 is really bad.

Will surely do that, thanks for pointing it out. I know it wasn't great but that's the process of learning. I have tried improving and will continue to do so, atleast few has found it to be useful that's the positive part I will take out of this video and try improving.
