I can understand what you mean by their music having that floating away vibe to it. It feels airy and ethereal. This is such a great track. I loved it since I was a child. 🎶😊💖🎶
I bet you havent heard all of their songs? I mean of course everyone got their opinion and many like this song. But for me TFF got many songs better than this 🙏. Just my opinion.
This is one of my favorite Tears for Fears songs, and you are correct about the Beatles vibe. There is a song on their new album that has a similar quality to it, called "Master Plan.' You can find the audio for that song here on UA-cam if you ever want to check out what they are doing now. The new album, 'The Tipping Point,' has been getting rave reviews and it is their first album in 17 years!
Another great choice for a listen. You never disappoint in your selections. My favorite from this great band. The construction and delivery unlike any other song you'll come across IMO.
Great tribute to Beatles-style music (circa 1967). Roland's got a bit of "Walrus"-effect and then there's the "Penny Lane"-style French Horn bit. Great stuff, great message, great music, great band!
Yes, yes, and yes, that's what I heard too, Walrus and the British brass of Penny Lane. The harmony at the chorus sounded like Paul and John, kinda made me whimper a little. The acid Billy Preston organ, the different parts like in Skelter. Damn this was so freaking good.
Had only heard bits of this song before and not the start at all, so the Beatles influence really took me by surprise. Sounds like it's right off Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band or Magical Mystery Tour. Very psychedelic and so different than say, Shout or Head Over Heels.
I'd like to dedicate this song to the Ukrainian babushka who told the Russian soldier to put 🌻 seeds in his pocket so when he dies there sunflowers would grow.
Hey jj love your reactions and that opening jam the good life one of my favs back in the day keep on going with two you will not be disappointed thanks
This is an extremely daring and sadly kinda underapreciated Album, just by the amount of musical effort that was put into it alone. My dad used to play it when I was young and it will forever remind me of my childhood. That being said I really do not understand the whole Beatles reference thing though. Seems to me like something that someone said at some point and now just keeps getting repeated. Then again you said it reminded you of beatles as well so... I don't know what to make of that ^^' My favourite songs of the Album are "Swords and Knives" "Advice for the young at heart" and "Year of the Knife".
Would be fun to see you react to one of their new songs, like *The Tipping Point* Would be great to see what your thoughts are after hearing their older work. Btw, I believe I read it's been like 17 yrs since they released an album -- & as a huge TFF fan, I loved their new song(s). Hope you consider checking it out.
Most of the songs i listen to on youtube people always say underatted. Did they even live in the time these songs came out. Every song and group including this one was heavily heavily rotated on radio. When its off top 40 its up to us to keep it going. Not radio.
I was thinking the exact same thing. It will blow his mind. Has a mix of jazz and gospel intermixed with an insanely fantastic song. Check out the live version - ua-cam.com/video/3lOroIlbAqI/v-deo.html - it's insane.
The best song The Beatles never wrote. If you dig it - yes - check out the music video. Classic.
One of my favorite songs of 1989......this could have been recorded in The Sgt.Pepper Era.
I can understand what you mean by their music having that floating away vibe to it. It feels airy and ethereal. This is such a great track. I loved it since I was a child. 🎶😊💖🎶
Yes! My fave TFF track. Very Beatles inspired without being overly derivative.
Agree epic as hell 🔥🔥🔥🔥
very beatles
I bet you havent heard all of their songs? I mean of course everyone got their opinion and many like this song. But for me TFF got many songs better than this 🙏. Just my opinion.
The video of this song is fantastic! Yes....Beatlesque!!

Two totally different voices is what it makes it great
Such a rich and complex song. This is a production masterpiece!
Boy this brings back memories from my middle school years
Total masterpiece. Yes, an homage to the Beatles, but it's done perfectly and with Tears for Fears' creative input...phenomenal

I always said "this song is the best Beatles' song after The Beatles".

1st reviewer I've seen on UA-cam get the Beatles similarity! Great review bro! 🍻
The whole album is great.
Put it on the turn table today....Holy smokes, I fell in love with it all over again.
Eye spy tears in your eyes
That ending has such a George Martin horn sound. ❤️
The video of this song is absolutely amazing also.
What the Beatles would of sounded like in 1989

Good song but I think they have many songs much better than this.
