    Ive never seen a shooting style like yours. Im certainty not knocking it , your targets speak for themselves. Benchrest shooters never cease to amaze me and Id love to get in and be a part of it. After watching you shoot I cant imagine your handloading / case prep regime.
    Awesome shooting thanks for sharing it.

    Are you useing the T Rex rest. How do you like it. I. Trying to decide between it and the seb neo x. Just not sure I want to wait 6 to 12 months for it.

      No, just the T Rex top. I’ve been hearing great things about the NEO X.

    Great Video! Thanks for posting! I do a little (and I stress a little) benchrest shooting myself. IBS VFS here on the east coast in VA. I'm curious about 2 things. First, I have never seen two shots per record bull before. And second, I could not help but notice that you are not looking through your scope when you fire. Could you please explain your technique? FWIW, I shoot a 30br, Panda action, Kelbly stock, Krieger Barrel with a 112gr bullet.

      Thanks for watching! The match in the video is a “club match” so there are some variances relative to sanctioned matches which could explain why two on the record. The shooting style is “heads up” so that I can monitor the wind flags for changes in direction and intensity. The wind is very switchy where I shoot so if you are not watching the flags carefully, you are going to drop a lot of points. When conditions are predictably stable, I will run the shots while staying in the scope but I have to set my shoulder very close to the butt so I don’t smack my face with that beast of a 30BR :). When I shoot heads up, I set the tension on the front rest very tight so that once I chamber and set at zero, the zero does not shift while I am monitoring flags.
      Nice rifle set up! Happy shooting!

    Nice, why do you use a .30 BR instead the 6BR, is that because it makes larger holes and gives more chances to cut the 10 ring (get more points) ?

    • @WitchDoctorPrecision

      Yes, plus it holds a tune seemingly forever

      @@WitchDoctorPrecision Ok I didn't know. I'm not a competitor and I have a 6 Norma BR (105 grains bullets). It seems to work well at 300meters but I've still many things to learn with this caliber. Cheers

      @@br4713 it’s a great caliber for sure. I do like the 30BR not just for tune and larger holes but also for its long barrel life. If you get a good high quality barrel, it can go up to 6000 rounds with good precision. With 6BR, a lot of people are lucky to get 2000 rounds before the barrel goes south. Thanks again for subscribing and happy shooting!

    Think my next build will b a 30 br.
    I'm in the process of getting my first 6ppc build done.

    Where can I buy a back cushion like yours? I would like to use it on a Kelbly KLP. Thanks!

      PMA Tool and Bruno Shooters Supply sell the Lenzi rear bag. Be sure to know the width of your stock so that you get the right size bag. Shoot small!

    You seem to have a little, my perception, resistance to bolt drop. Is it because your seating depth is in to the lands? Just curious. Love your content, please continue!

      Yes, I jam those BIB 118s .012-.020”. It does add some resistance relative to touch or off lands. Good observation!

    Hi would you recommend 30 br for ranges with a lot more wind I really like the match videos

    • @WitchDoctorPrecision
      @WitchDoctorPrecision  2 роки тому

      No. I don’t see an advantage. I shoot 6 Dasher at this same 300 yard match in the wind and it seems like the only advantage to the 30BR over the larger 6mm’s is a larger hole.

      @steyrman2 2 роки тому +1

      @@WitchDoctorPrecision thank you for the reply I have a 6 br it would not be a big job to rebarrel into dasher get the full benefits of the 6 mm

    • @WitchDoctorPrecision
      @WitchDoctorPrecision  2 роки тому

      @@steyrman2 I’m not sure how much benefit you’d get from BR to Dasher. In fact, I’m moving exclusively to BRAI because it has enough case capacity and long neck (no need to worry about donuts like you do with the dasher when adjusting seating depth).
