- Sorry guys, was gonna upload this after my last video but I had to run to the bathroom. Wasn't in there too long, was I?
Anyway, youtube won't let me upload EITHER of the Carpenter episodes, and I already posted #14 (albeit in lower quality… sorry, only broadcast I have) so we go straight to episode 15 of the November 1999 run of Millionaire - which features one of my all time favorite contestants on the show! - Розваги
I'm very confident the answer is Nike because she named the brand of shoes after the ancient Greek masterpiece known as "Winged Victory."
Jane Oviatt is beautiful in black overalls while she is playing Who Wants to be a Millionaire. She is confident and exciting.
Today, we say Happy Birthday to our wonderful and funny millionaire host, Regis Philbin. He turns 88-years-old today!!
Happy Birthday! ABC should have run a Millionaire Marathon in his honor.
@@christucker9966 maybe series 1 and 2
@@joeyragsdale1998 That would be Cool!
I miss him. He was the best Millionaire host.
Glad ur back man!
👏
I really missed you.
First contestant would've considered Nike possible guess, which makes sense considering they named the brand of shoes after "Winged Victory".
To clarify Bob's $64,000 question:
Great Britain is the actual landmass itself, i.e. the island. Since Northern Ireland is connected to Ireland, it's not part of Great Britain officially. In fact, I believe the full name is "The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland." To my knowledge, Ireland doesn't belong in either category.
🇬🇧🇨🇮
Ah dang. Bob read his $64k question too quickly. I doubt he ever even saw Northern Ireland as a choice.
Here is episode #28 of the U.S. Millionaire program and its orginally aired November 21, 1999 on ABC.
That $64K question was tricky. It was correct but I can totally see how one would guess Ireland
May be tricky if you don't know basic geography.. As a European I knew the answer before the alternatives came up
@@nordicgaming2572 or if you're like me and you don't know the difference between United Kingdom and Great Britain (I happened to misunderstand the question and got it right because of that)
I'm very confident that the ancient Greek masterpiece "Winged Victory" is a sculpture of the famous goddess, Nike.
Please upload more now that the show has been cancelled in which it should’ve never happened because they needed to something for its 20th anniversary.
It's canceled?!! 😱
@@stevenbahena5956 they should have never taken it off of prime time. Needs to come back to prime time, but the key is you need the PERFECT host. Regis is 1 in a trillion
yay :)
👏
If you have Nancy Christy's episode, could you try to upload that one in 1080p? That would just look fantastic!
🎊
Anyone else think it was Nike? I don't know what I would have done in the big chair, but that was my inclination.
On January of last year, you commented that you only had one tape from the '99 run. What has changed?
Thank you for the upload and are ya gonna upload the episode after this too?
🤞
$32,000 is a nice piece of money.
$32,000 changed to $25,000 with a new format.
It's been now 20 years since millionaire began in the us
💸📺🇺🇸
now almost 25...
@@markymark443 Wow.. 25 years that's coming in August
Jane Oviatt is US version of Fiona Wheeler.
The messiah has returned.
✝️
@WWTBAMclassics Do you remember the episode when a contestant insulted Regis by telling him that he was sure Regis had seen a psychiatrist? Regis then went off on him for the rest of segment. It was fucking brutal!! I remember watching that episode with my friend high as a kite right before my senior year of college. It has to have aired between 8/15 to sometime in early September of 2001. It was right before 9/11.
I've been looking for this clip for years! haha If you could post it I would be so thankful!
Also please upload more Meredith Vieira episodes.
❤
Someone used to have the whole run of John Carpenter on UA-cam. Why was it blocked?
Bocca013 Because LDS is trying to take control of UA-cam copyright fraud.
Does anyone have any idea why UA-cam won't let John Carpenter's run be shown here? Also, WWTBAMclassics, as other people have suggested numerous times, you could try posting them on other platforms like Dailymotion, Veoh, or Vimeo. I was worried for a second that you were done posting for good. Welcome back.
Probably because that run would get more clicks than any other. Lol
@@cameraredeye3115 yeah that's what I was thinking
What about the episode from January 16,2000?
🤞
I was 7 months old when this aired. Now I’m 67
Have you got your math right?
Do you have the January 15 or 16, 2000 episode?
🤞
Your 11/20/1999 episode was blocked, if you want to reupload this again, please cut carpenter run "last night"...
Ya gonna upload the next episode soon?
🤞
If John's father Edward isn't correct, John could lose $93,000.
It is my first mistake I Have To Fix.
My answer is hera final answer
For 11/18/1999 episode, may you replace carpenter run with stephen fox "fff" ?
Well answer was nike
✔️
rip regis.
It is fundamentally not Hera or Aphrodite.
I think it's Nike but I'm 80% sure.
Are ya gonna upload the next episode soon?
🤞
The answer is D gardening
Tommy Boy? D+. Roger Klotz? D-.
Our Bob passed away to a car crash on tursday
Bob-O - Super Millionaire
Hey guys, the classic Millionaire videos are getting deleted for copyright reasons!
👎
Just edit the carpenter segments out lol
The answer is A popemobile
🅰️
Athena??? All he has to do is remember the NIKE logo which is a wing.
✔️
I wanted to scream "nooooo!" at the guy who thought Ireland was part of the United Kingdom. Ireland has been an independant nation for a century. 🇮🇪
I should have to say, "No, It's not Athena. It's Nike."
Wearing bibs on t v
How tacky
Next episode is the $125,000 win by Jane Oviatt
Bob's $32k question was extremely easy. It couldn't be any planet other than Mars
Second contestant is a near twin to actor David Morse, the cop who busted Dr. House for drugs.
Just wondering if he was wearing Nikes . . that would be both ironic and tragic.
ffw
i need to see that redhead get all cocky right before he lost. it makes me laugh so much
It is not Hera, but it is Nike, because she named the brand of shoes after the sculpture "Winged Victory."
It is actually I'll go with my first instinct with my Dad's, and go with B. Athena.
🅱️
I’m shocked about what happened on the United Kingdom question. I don’t know if this episode was before a certain event or whatnot, but I would’ve bet it was Ireland too.
🇬🇧🇨🇮
???
Ireland is an independent country. Northern Ireland is part of the UK.
I wonder why most Americans pronounce "karaoke" carry-okie. If that were the case it would be Romanized "kerioki." The "kara" in "karaoke" (empty orchestra) is the same as the "kara" in "karate" (empty hand); no one that I know would pronounce the latter carry-tea.
Huh. I never thought of that as an American.
@@noahfessenden6478 "Carry Okie" isn't as bad as calling hara-kiri "Harry Carry" though.
@@seikibrian8641 Yeah that's true.
Why are you singling out Americans? Do Europeans pronounce it different? And… why would you expect any non-Japanese to know how Japanese pronunciation and romanization works? A lot of people probably don't even know "karaoke" is a Japanese word.
And your "karate" example is bad, people don't always pronounce that accurately either, they often say "ee" at the end instead of "ay". Same with "sake". And people typically pronounce "bonsai" like "banzai".
It's a loanword, sometimes loanwords change in pronunciation on their way to the new language. It's not like the Japanese are always perfect about loanword pronunciation either, even within the limits of their phonetic system. Edit: I originally made my point with the word "energy", but it turns out they got that from German, not English; my bad. I know there are actual examples, just can't be bothered looking for them. If I think of any I'll add them.
I'm positive It's Nike and I can tell I'm a big art fan.
