- Roco/Fleischmann's smartRail is all about taking the good old regular roller stand to the next level. The devise uses Roco’s Z21 technology so the locomotives can be controlled via smartphone, tablet, handheld controller or directly on the device via the function keys. Sensors at the beginning and at the end of the track bed keep the locomotive in the middle of the track bed no matter the speed. Please also visit my blog Sundborg.Wordpress.com (mostly in Danish)
Wow, it is so elegant, really hope that they have one for the n scales.
I’m afraid I have never seen it in n-scale. You can get other treadmills in that scale, but they have a more utilitarian look with steel frames etc. Roco’s SMARTRAIL is rather unique.
Would love one to run HO steam or narrow gauge Shay or Heisler locos BUT the rocking would drive me nuts!
I really like Shay locos!
I am understanding this better now ! Looks expensive though ? Wales -the land of narrow guage .
Well, it’s approximately the same price as a loco. I’ve only visited Wales once - some 30 years ago. Took the Snowdon Mountain Railway - fantastic! Maybe I should go again.
Seems to me it ought to have ties and sleepers moving along to complete the illusion.
There's an idea :-)
This looks great. I think I will have to buy one of these myself :).
I like the treadmill 😊👍🏻
What class is the diesel rail car?
It’s a DSB Class MO (V) 1800
90th like! Pin pls!
Nice try :-D I'll pin you if you hit 100
