I think you guys are on the right path. A few more generations of development and you'll likely have something efficient. Asparagus in not grown around my parts, but it would be amazing to see 10s of acres, maybe even 100s, of nothing but asparagus ferns.

How does it cut a asparagus when it’s tight together with 4 other asparagus that are not ready to be cut without damaging them. I don’t think it can.
