After shooting it on the R7 and the R5, I prefer it on the R5 - to me it seems to have a bit more clarity on the R5 where as the 100-500 or the 600 F4 seem to have the same clarity on both bodies - at least for my style of shooting and what I look for in an image. I light the weight and I REALLY am enjoying the zoom. I AM taking it with me on my adventure but it will be on the R5 the entire time and the 600 F4 will be on the R7 with the 1.4 extender. I have also found by accident that if I have the lens foot just a little to the left, I can get to the focus ring easier. Nothing is perfect and I have to remember that as well. Overall - it is an awesome RF lens. So ....... yup, depending on how it hold up in the rain and now on my trip, I will be keeping it. 🙏🤗💖
I' m due a bonus in March so I am waying up the best way forward. I have the 100-400 mk2 ef which if I went the RF100-500 route I could trade in the 100-400 but I would have to wait for additional cash the RF 1.4 extender. But it seems the better way would be the RF 200-800 but I wouldn't trade in the 100-400 then so makes it a lot more expensive to fund. I have the EF500mm F4 mk1 but that's a beast of a lens all on R5 body..decisions decisions!@@JonnyPink65
