"Abraham's Four Seeds", by John G. Reisinger, if you want to understand the New Covenant. New Covenant Whole Gospel: How many modern Christians cannot honestly answer the questions below? Who is the King of Israel in John 1:49? Is the King of Israel now the Head of the Church, and are we His Body? Who is the “son” that is the “heir” to the land in Matthew 21:37-43? Why did God allow the Romans to destroy the Old Covenant temple and the Old Covenant city, about 40 years after His Son fulfilled the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34 in blood at Calvary? What the modern Church needs is a New Covenant Revival (Heb. 9:10) in which members of various denominations are willing to re-examine everything they believe and see if it agrees with the Bible, instead of the traditions of men. We need to be like the Bereans. It will be a battle between our flesh and the Holy Spirit. It will not be easy. If you get mad and upset when someone challenges your man-made Bible doctrines, that is your flesh resisting the truth found in God's Word. Nobody can completely understand the Bible unless they understand the relationship between the Old Covenant given to Moses at Mount Sinai and the New Covenant fulfilled in blood at Calvary. God is not now a “racist”. He has extended His love to all races of people through the New Covenant fulfilled by His Son’s blood at Calvary. The Apostle Paul warned against using “genealogies” in our faith in 1 Tim. 1:4, and Titus 3:9. What brings all local churches together into one Body under the blood of Christ? The answer is found below. Let us now share the Old Testament Gospel found below with the whole world. On the road to Emmaus He said the Old Testament is about Him. He is the very Word of God in John 1:1, 14. Awaken Church to this truth. Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: Jer 31:32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by husband unto them, saith the LORD: Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. Is the most important genealogy in the Bible found in Matthew 1:1 (Gal. 3:16)? Is God's Son the ultimate fulfillment of Israel (John 1:49)? Why has the modern Church done a pitiful job of sharing the Gospel with modern Orthodox Jews? Why would someone tell them they are God's chosen people and then fail to share the Gospel with them? Who is the seed of the woman promised in Genesis 3:15? What did Paul say about Genesis 12:3 in Galatians 3:8, 3:16? Who is the "son" in Psalm 2? Who is the "suffering servant" of Isaiah 53? Who would fulfill the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34? Who would fulfill the timeline of Daniel chapter 9 before the second temple was destroyed? Why have we not heard this simple Old Testament Gospel preached on Christian television in the United States on a regular basis? Once a person comes to understand the New Covenant promised to Israel and Judah in Jeremiah 31:31-34, which is found fulfilled by Christ during the first century in Hebrews 8:6-13, and Hebrews 10:16-18, and specifically applied to the Church in 2 Corinthians 3:6-8, and Hebrews 12:22-24, man-made Bible doctrines fall apart. Let us now learn to preach the whole Gospel until He comes back. The King of Israel is risen from the dead! (John 1:49, Acts 2:36) We are not come to Mount Sinai in Hebrews 12:18. We are come instead to the New Covenant church of Mount Zion and the blood in Hebrews 12:22-24. 1Jn 3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. 1Jn 3:23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. 1Jn 3:24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us. The following verses prove the Holy Spirit is the master teacher for those now in the New Covenant. Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. Mar 1:8 I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost. Joh 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. Act 11:16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost. 1Co 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. 1Jn 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. Augustine's Confessions is another great book, there's theology interwoven with autobiography. 😊 Edit. There are several good translations (e.g. Chadwick, Boulding, Sheed, O'Donnell, possibly Wills and Ruden but they're also quite big departures in many respects and so shouldn't be the first translation to read but only after you're familiar with the book). My favorite is Thomas Williams because I find he best captures the subtleties and nuances of Augustine's philosophical theology better than any other English translation with which I'm aware.
I also recommend reading the book responding to all of the five proofs of Feser, called Existential Inertia and Classical Theistic Proofs, published I think with Springer

Question: I'm not Catholic, but how do Catholics explain Peter's primary status among the apostles in light of Paul's conflict with him in the book of Galatians: "But when Cephas came to Antioch, I opposed him to his face, because he stood condemned" Ga 2:11. Thoughts? I'm assuming Rome has had to deal with this objection before.
Pope isn't infallible generally. But protestants accept Peters's inability when comes to the letters for example. General councils are infallible and pope ex cathedra. U simply stawmaning.
Not bad, but i’d like to make few corrections: Augustine’s De Trinitare is quite complex work that requires adequate Trinitarian knowledge. I’d rather recommend Introduction to Trinity by Fr. Gilles Emery O.P. and The Divine Trinity by rev. Joseph Pole. Summa theologiae is very complex work that requires knowledge of thomistic philosophy and theology, i suggest reading easy works of St. Thomas Aquinas first together with dr. Feser’s intro (De Rationibus Fidei, Contra errores Graecorum etc.) Also, Lagrange who is neo Thomist is very complex to read for someone who is out of touch with theology (considering a beginner) My personal reccomendation - Light of Christ by Thomas Joseph White O.P. - Lawrence Feingolds intro to fundamental theology - Ludwig Ott’s fundamentals of Catholic Dogma - Introduction to Trinity by Fr. Gilles Emery O.P. - The Divine Trinity by rev. Joseph Pole NB. before all, one should be familiar with compendium of CCC and CCC itself first as well as spiritual/ascetical fundamentals (Imitations of Christ by Thomas Kempis, Introduction to Devout Life by St. Francis de Sales, Ways of mental prayer etc.)
The Summa is not a “beginner” book, contrary to popular opinion. It is summative, just as his compendium is. Most Thomists will recommend that you read his work on the principles of nature or De Ente.

Even the Bible explains this one: "brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle." -2 Thessalonians 2:15 The apostolic fathers definitely handed down teachings that were in addition to Scripture

Pensees is another great one, especially for newcomers to Catholicism. It is quite short and doesn’t use many confusing theological terms in his proofs for God.
Incidentally, my first theology book i read was on the incarnation, i recommend it💯
Examination of the Council of Trent by Martin Chemnitz
my all time favorite and my recommendation is St. Athanasius's "On the incarnation of the word" this book is masterpiece! and any Christian must read it!
Another recommendations is St. Basil of Caesarea's On the holyspirit, St. Gregory of Nazianzus five theological orations,St.Cyril.of Alexandria's Scholia on the incarnation,St.Ambrose's hexaemeron,St.yahya ibn adi's on the divine unity,St.Gregory of Tatev's book of questions and summer homilies,Paul mar Gregorios A human God and Cosmic man.
I have a fairly background of philosophy but was looking for something like this to better serve God and educate my kids ❤️
I think we attend Mass at the same parish. St. Francis of Assissi, yes?

Hey man I really like your vids and I think you're very knowledgeable. Could you make a video on Thomism and basically refuting arguments against it 👍
My man is mogging
What's a mogging?
Keep up the good work. I’m currently reading Joan of Arc by Mark Twain. Not a book on theology but an amazing work on an amazing saint. I highly recommend. I think St. Joan of Arc may have turned Mr. Twain into a believer.
thanks for this, will be reading as a muslim to be able to engage with christianity in a more in depth way
Respect.
Great video!
Bishop Sheen’s Catechism is amazing!
The Apothegmas of The Dessert Fathers!
Scott Hahn's 'The Lamb's Supper' is a great walkthrough of the book of Revelation and how it reveals the Liturgy as heaven on earth
Thanks much for this video.
Excellent video. I'm new - just found your channel. Appreciate your irenic spirit. I think F. J. Sheed theology books are also good for beginners (classics). Looking forward to watching your other videos.
Henry Denzinger's Enchiridion Symbolorum.
Very foundational work for theological research imo
I bought the st Thomas Aquinas book because of this video
I hope all of you will be adding the Ignatius Catholic Study Bible (Old and New Testament) to your collection. It is now available after 26 years in the making. A copy of the Catechism of the Catholic Church along side it would be a very useful companion. 👍😊
The Trinity by Fr. Gilles Emery (Author), Matthew Levering (Translator) is an excellent Thomistic resource
Not bad, but i’d like to make few corrections:
Augustine’s De Trinitare is quite complex work that requires adequate Trinitarian knowledge.
Feser’s intro (De Rationibus Fidei, Contra errores Graecorum etc.)
Also, Lagrange who is neo Thomist is very complex to read for someone who is out of touch with theology (considering a beginner)
My personal reccomendation
- Light of Christ by Thomas Joseph White O.P.
- Lawrence Feingolds intro to fundamental theology
- Ludwig Ott’s fundamentals of Catholic Dogma
- Introduction to Trinity by Fr. Gilles Emery O.P.
- The Divine Trinity by rev. Joseph Pole
NB. before all, one should be familiar with compendium of CCC and CCC itself first as well as spiritual/ascetical fundamentals (Imitations of Christ by Thomas Kempis, Introduction to Devout Life by St. Francis de Sales, Ways of mental prayer etc.)
The Summa is not a “beginner” book, contrary to popular opinion. It is summative, just as his compendium is. Most Thomists will recommend that you read his work on the principles of nature or De Ente.
@@rileypare7946 In my opinion the De Ente is a harder read than the Summa.
@@SanctusTheology That's because its primarily philosophical, which you need to know before engaging in Theology.
I'm currently reading the catechism ascension edition, I will keep a note on some of the one's you are recommending.
what is your view on sedevecantism and are you going to do a video on it
Also Fr. Ludwig Ott, Fundamentals of Catholic Dogma is veey good and complete!

What are the names of those sets of books behind you?
Can you make this a series where you recommend books that go into specific fields like eschatology or soteriology?
Does anyone have book suggestions that don't have flowery language? I really hate how many of these books were written in such a poetic way that I have to keep reading the same sentence over and over again. It's annoying.
God bless you.
On your top shelf, are the green books next to the Nicene fathers the decline and fall of Rome by Edward Gibbons? And what about the set of red books next to them, what books are those?
Hello! Could you do a tour of your library? Thanks
Hi, just want to know did you study theology or you're self taught through books?
is the Case for Christ by Lee Strobel good?

Nice library bro
I love books! ✊
Some good books:
- Raymond E. Brown: An Introduction to New Testament Christology
- Jesus as Theos by Murray J Harris
- The Heresy of the Ishmaelites’: Revisiting the first written polemic against Islam (St. John of Damascus, 749 AD)
- An Introduction to the New Testament by D. A. Carson and Douglas J. Moo
- A Catholic Commentary On Holy Scripture
- jesus of nazareth series by pope benedict
- Jesus, Contradicted: Why The Gospels Tell The Same Story Differently
- Case against Q by Mark goodacre
- The Alleged Anonymity of the Canonical Gospels by Simon Gathercole
- The Christology of the New Testament by Cullmann
- Abba and Jesus' Relation to God by A. Fitzmyer
If you would like to go the next step and have your beliefs thoroughly challenged I would suggest you read some of Bart Ehrmans books like Misquoting Jesus, Jesus Interrupted and How Jesus Became God. Keep in mind you require a seriously good academic and spiritual foundation to find resolutions to some of the claims he makes in his books.
Thank you so much
Fair play to you very intelligent.
What are your thoughts on Tovia Singer. You think you would stand a chance in a debate with him?
@@yoppateemo I made a video on him, I think he gets a lot wrong when it comes to Christianity.

There are no "theology" in the protestant revolutionaries. They are just a bunch of anti intelectual sentimentalist guessers. Dont deserve any kind of respect.

How to learn philosophy chronologically.
@@Sam-su9zv Read Peter Kreefts series called Socrates Children, goes through every major philosopher that has existed.
@@SanctusTheology Double yes to this, Peter Kreeft writes such good apologetics.
If you want to go deeper than kreefts set Fr. Frederick Copleston SJ has a 11 volume set on the history of philosophy
How would someone respond to a Protestant who says the Bible is the only book you need?
Even the Bible explains this one: "brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle." -2 Thessalonians 2:15
The apostolic fathers definitely handed down teachings that were in addition to Scripture
Try these 3 responses:
1. Respond with which Bible and why. The 73 book one or the 66 book one.
2. Respond, why do you believe the Bible is the only book you need?
3. Respond does the Bible teach that the Bible is the only book you need?
Hey brother! Great video. Question: Where did you get your set of the early church fathers writings that is over left shoulder? I am trying to get this set and the best I can find is ebay, but they are like 800-$1,000 bucks. Thanks. God bless!

@@SanctusTheology You got so many books😭 I'll do what you said
@@SanctusTheologyWhat are your thoughts on the idea that we shouldn’t be spending too much money on physical books but rather opting for kindle books if they’re cheaper and giving the difference to charity for ethical reasons? It’s something that’s been on my mind.
@@Liam-r9k Don’t be overly greedy and buy books as such, of course. But if you’re buying books such as physical books to deepen your knowledge, I see no issue. Many old books are not on kindle anyway, plus physical books don’t rely on WiFi or battery life lol.
@@SanctusTheology Thanks for your response! It is a tricky one tbf when the kindle prices are cheaper and the Christian knows he could be donating the difference.
May I ask what you’re planning to do career/study wise given your still fairly young? I’m 18 myself and off to do Theology at University next month. Great production quality on the videos by the way.
