Thank you for your "how to" video. You see, I can read, but comprehension is often harder, while I am an admitted visual learner. I will be making a sticker on my machine that states, Drop of oil on the hook, new needle, and rethread to remind me to take care of my mothers machine.
I have never heard of the hook so I dont know what that is.

Hello! I used to be a Pfaff dealer, I’m looking for the old cinter oil for the oil impregnated bearings in the older german machines, I would like to purchase an 1/2 oz of this oil can you accommodate me?

Hi, thanks from Belgium. I have a tiptronic 1071 from 1985 (made in West-Germany). It was beginning to screech when sewing hospital gowns for midwifes, care homes and physical trainers. I oiled it like you said but it still makes a screeching sound. I have no idea if somebody in Belgium can service this machine. The last time I sent it in, it came back worse than it was.

Thank you for the oiling maintenance advice! I have a question about this machine, we use exactly the same one. Since some months, its display doesn't work properly anymore: After switching on the power-button, it takes about 5-10 minutes until the display starts to light on... unless the display being on, the machine cannot be used, no move by pressing the pedal ecetera - so the machine seems to be useless without its display working as well.
If you could give me any advice, knowing the spare part that is affected or even better where to find/buy that one, this would help us a lot!

This was so informative thank you! I had a question-- I have a similar Pfaff-- a creative 1371... I want to unscrew the top but the two screws the grooves are worn and slightly rusted and I can't unscrew it at all. plus the screws are in the holes so I can't pick it out with pliers? any suggestions appreciated. it is squeaking pretty hard and I already oiled the hook as per this video. the squeaking seems to be coming from the top. Also I my timing is correct (I made sure), but the needle keeps hitting the hook still, no matter if I changed the needle. if the needle could move just slightly forward, or the case could move slightly backward, then it would be fine. there's no way to do this for the needle-- is there a way to do this for the bobbin basket/hook assembly?

Noticed the half full bottle of oil that is brownish compared to the full bottle of light colored oil. So, the oil is OK to use if it has darkened over time?
One more question. Do you guys sell the little roller tire that runs along the cam that works the idt on the creative 1471. My black rubber one disintegrated.
i found a pfaff creative 1469, should I keep it? could I donate for a class on the machine or information on sewing?

There is, it's just very quiet. I'm listening with an external speaker attached to my computer and can hear it fine with volume turned up
It is very difficult to turn the wheel on the side. Will oiling the way you describe in this video fix that?
TX75771 no, oil won’t help. You could have a bad top bearing or motor bearing or thread wrapped around the take-up. Take to your dealer or ship to us.

@@Discoversewing thank you so much for your reply. I didn’t see any thread wrapped around. It turns easily when I turn it away from me, just tighter when I turn it towards me. I oiled the area like in the video and that helped so much with the actual sewing and the auto up function with the needle. Now I can’t get the reverse stitch to work with the lever in the front. *sigh*
I have a pfaff creative 1472 Anniversary it has a big flake of paint missing near the plate. Is there a touch up paint or color code for the paint to repair that. Same color as the one you're working on.
