- In this video I do a walk around talking about the Pitts Model 12 we are building. It’s been a fun fun project so far and it’s getting even funner because we starting to paint so color on it.

Aside from the J3, the Pitts is my next favorite aircraft. Will watch this with great interest.

I have used those blow up booths or made a few DIY booths ended up finding a good deal on a professional booth on Craigslist. Turned out body shop went out of business quit paying the lease the building owner wanted it gone. He had it advertised for $500 but after I showed up he said forget the money just put that in the ad cut down on the calls.

Absolutely. 😁 Got almost 5-0 hours on her already. Flown her probably 5 times in the past week. 😁👍🏼

I prefer to use white paint for tubing such as fuselages and engine mounts as cracks are easier to see with white paint than black or a dark colored paint.

Why are you shooting the high gloss epoxy from just the turtle deck forward? Why not shoot the entire tube structure with gloss white? Weight?
The whole frame was already powder coated grey so all we want to show white is what’s gonna be seen from turtle deck forward. Thanks! I’ll have a update video soon.

Is it plans built or is it a kit build.?(HP Wings, fuselage etc etc). What engine and prop combo are you going with? (Barrett, larger prop option, extended gear etc). Thx.
Hello Lan! Thanks for your comment! Yes sir the wing are HP built wings by Kevin Kimball as well as the fuselage. (Kit built) not scratch from plans. The old guy that originally ordered it had ordered the best of the best with carbon fiber seats, taller gear. So this one will have a zero time 450+ HP M14P built by the guys over in Hungry I believe and going with a 103” MT prop. Gonna be a mean machine. 👊🏼😁🤙🏼 Thanks!
