My parents had neighbors complaining about their weeds while my Mom was fighting cancer AND the next time while my Dad was in dialysis and not doing well! Also their retirement community used to have family time for grandchildren to swim at their pool and people would complain of it being too loud and too much splashing. I think some people are just miserable! My Mom always used to say that when old people act like that…it’s either they hate children or have no kids coming to visit them bc their children don’t like them.
Love that Joel still put her fence up! You know what they say kill them with kindness 😁 I like to think that because her behaviour didn’t change his kindness she was annoyed more.
I’ve parked at the end of our road for four years getting my son. Now the neighbor there puts up a sign on the outside of her fence that says this is not a bus stop no trespassing or parking anytime. I called DOH. They said I’m fine. Then she comes out and tells me about it. Now she put up a janky orange fence with black tape. I just park right in the middle of the road now and It’s a narrow road so if I have to move out of the way from a car I have to back up in front of her driveway. 🤷♀️ then her grown son stands outside right by the fence and I guess watches me and now my 5 year old is scared. It’s where our road meets the highway and it’s where the bus lets them off. They can’t walk down the road by themselves they have to be picked up. And the school board, doh and police all do nothing.

Your story is so funny... We have a neighbor who doesn't like us. They always leave their dogs running to our yard for no reason. She always call the cops when we didn't do anything wrong. I also seem to remember Joel using those “terrible 4 wheelers” to plow snow off the road so everyone can drive on it. I had very loud neighbors in the apartment above me. They were very irritating! No matter how many times I asked them to turn down their tv etc. they would say oh we understand and go on about their business. My sister told me I should start praying for them. I did 🙏. They moved. My new neighbors are very considerate 🤠❤️

If the kids are playing kickball in my development and the ball accidentally goes into her yard she will come out of her house in her moomoo and pop the ball in front of the kids and yells at them and goes into her house.. she also calls the cops if you step on her property or making to much noise… the World Series is going on and as you may know Phillies are in, after the games she has called cops several times in the last week for noise coming from the stadium lol 😂 so ridiculous lol

You are not alone Bonnie. I may live in Australia, however, I too have lived in many neighbourhoods with a nasty, cranky neighbour who likes to cause as many problems as they can for everyone else. One of them even threatened to take my 16 year old daughter to court. Guess why. She (my daughter) wouldn’t talk to this neighbour because of how she made her feel.

I love this story😽. We have a similar neighbor who we call “grumpy man”. He reported us because our dog barked for a few minutes(on a Saturday afternoon). He won’t even make eye contact with us when we pass him on the street. Such a bummer when you realize you just bought a house next to a grumpy jackass🤨

Another call the to the cops for my kids kick ball accidentally getting kicked over their fence (and she never gave it back to them!). She would turn her outside cameras to point closer to our house and used to stand at her kitchen window staring at us for hours. SO creepy! Also a cat lady whose cats wandered the neighborhood 🤪 needless to say we eventually moved 😂
I have to share my neighbor story! I have a neighbor just like this. We are a young couple with a 4 and 2 year old and they are familiar with the cops now... She calls about our dog, our trailer that was parked out front that day (same as you), she's called for every dumb thing. The cops always apologize to us because they know her and know what she's calling for isn't a concern. We've done nothing but helped her since we've moved in. My husband helped her fix multiple things, he's gone and shoveled her sidewalk and driveway when it's snowed. He's helped with her car on multiple occasions. We are so confused why she does this to us when we've been nothing but kind! Especially since we still are this way even after the multiple police calls from her about us. Apparently though she has done this to almost everyone that has lived in our house before us😳 Luckily we are in the process of selling!
We had a neighbor who was the "president of the HOA" and for some reason he did not like us. We paid for a parking permit to park in front of our own house. He would complain about us not moving our car often enough. We drove that car every day. He also told us that our car was parked there for over two weeks when during that time we had taken our car on a road trip. He did call a tow company and got our car towed. We asked him about it and he said that they don't call the tow people. They just come by and tow cars who are parked without a permit. We did have a permit visible. The tow company told us that doesn't happen and that they only come when called to get a car. We called property management and they took our side and made the HOA president pay us back! It was pretty awesome to see the look on his face when he handed us a check.
We have the same!! We had a neighbour call our council (we are in the UK) and complain about my kids playing outside.... I have two old enough to do that.. their words were "gangs of children" hanging about.. 🤣🤣 sometimes they just have too much time on their hands 🤣🤣

We had a neighbor like that one time the sad thing about it was it was a relative ! It came to a point we could not take it anymore so we sold our house and moved! It looks s bette with them now .
We had a neighbor like that.. ridiculous and sad! Our neighbor who was like that would keep the kids balls if they went in their yard , they have yelled at some of the neighborhood kids. If the neighbor on the other side of them had yard work done they would take chairs and sit on the property line and watch to make sure nothing went on their lawn from the other yard. It was so foolish. They just recently moved and the neighborhood felt like throwing a party.
A neighbor one house over from us has literally 40 cats around her home. Her home is breeding ground for them. So when we moved in our porch started smelling like cat urine and they were pooping on our welcome mat. We finally got them to stay away with bleach and vinegar but you literally can’t walk anywhere around the neighbors house because the stench is so bad around it I almost vomited just going down the street.
My goodness, what a sad life that lady leads. She's probably not content with her own lot in life and is jealous of others enjoying life. She doesn't sound like a pleasant neighbour at all. I hope that one day she realises she's missing out on so much by being the way she is and can change for the better.

oh my gosh, you know parking the "wrong" way is actually legal and frequently done in so many other countries. It freaked me out at first but it is actually totally normal here in the UK. So unfortunate that it is not legal in the U.S in this case.

Neighbors are so tricky. You never know who you are going to move next to. At least you shouldn't have too much of an issue in your next place since there is a lot more space. I'm thankful to have good neighbors but I have definitely heard a few of them complain about each other. lol. Granted a lot of them have been there a long time.
I would call the cops on her once you are leaving your house the last time. We had a crazy neighbor too. We wrote on the closet wall letting the new owners that there is a crazy neighbor next door and good luck with that! 😂
Our next door neighbor is the exact same way and she has a couple cats. She has called the police on us a couple of times, but many times on the neighbors on the other side of her. This time of year makes her crazy with all the leaves falling. She has no trees ( cut them all down) and we have a couple big ones.So, she has to clean "our" leaves. 🤦♀️🤷♀️ If we cut our grass, she has to go out and check her driveway to see if we did any damage. Shes just finicky, has nothing better to do. So, we mind our business and just stay away.

We had a neighbor like that one time the sad thing about it was it was a relative ! It came to a point we could not take it anymore so we sold our house and moved! It looks s bette with them now .

We had a neighbor like that.. ridiculous and sad! Our neighbor who was like that would keep the kids balls if they went in their yard , they have yelled at some of the neighborhood kids. If the neighbor on the other side of them had yard work done they would take chairs and sit on the property line and watch to make sure nothing went on their lawn from the other yard. It was so foolish. They just recently moved and the neighborhood felt like throwing a party.

A neighbor one house over from us has literally 40 cats around her home. Her home is breeding ground for them. So when we moved in our porch started smelling like cat urine and they were pooping on our welcome mat. We finally got them to stay away with bleach and vinegar but you literally can’t walk anywhere around the neighbors house because the stench is so bad around it I almost vomited just going down the street.

My goodness, what a sad life that lady leads. She's probably not content with her own lot in life and is jealous of others enjoying life. She doesn't sound like a pleasant neighbour at all. I hope that one day she realises she's missing out on so much by being the way she is and can change for the better.

Wow! She sounds like one of our neighbors. He always threatens to call the cops. When he has been drinking. He always catches me...when my husband isn't at home.etc When we have been having issues with him for years over their dogs. So now he complains about anything we do. It's so aggravating.

oh my gosh, you know parking the "wrong" way is actually legal and frequently done in so many other countries. It freaked me out at first but it is actually totally normal here in the UK. So unfortunate that it is not legal in the U.S in this case.
she will be so board when you move. You should send her flowers the day you move and let her know how much you loved her and thank her for looking out for your family. HA!
Neighbors are so tricky. You never know who you are going to move next to. At least you shouldn't have too much of an issue in your next place since there is a lot more space.
I'm thankful to have good neighbors but I have definitely heard a few of them complain about each other. lol. Granted a lot of them have been there a long time.

I would call the cops on her once you are leaving your house the last time. We had a crazy neighbor too. We wrote on the closet wall letting the new owners that there is a crazy neighbor next door and good luck with that! 😂

Our next door neighbor is the exact same way and she has a couple cats. She has called the police on us a couple of times, but many times on the neighbors on the other side of her. This time of year makes her crazy with all the leaves falling. She has no trees ( cut them all down) and we have a couple big ones.So, she has to clean "our" leaves. 🤦♀️🤷♀️ If we cut our grass, she has to go out and check her driveway to see if we did any damage. Shes just finicky, has nothing better to do. So, we mind our business and just stay away.

There is a lady in our apartment complex that hates kids. I told her if kids playing outside bothers her so much, she needs to move to a retirement community.
