Thank you guys for making these great game film breakdowns throughout the season I really enjoy your work. Hopefully we will get more in the post season all the way to the championship?
The UMASS and GT game started out with exactly the same play. Back gets stuffed at line of scrimmage rolls out of it and scampers for 50 down the side line. This is the worst tackling defense of the Kirby Smart era.
Agree. UMASS had nearly 170 yard rushing in the first half. Every good back on a team worth its salt spins away first contact. Plus, we (UGA) can’t contain on the outside. RH QB that can run goes right. For gains…
How hard would it be to make a global adjustment and say if they're not gonna swap out philo lets prove King can throw a 45 yard fade? Why not stack the middle of the field/run blitz while putting your best nickel db on the motion guy and play the outside straight up? What's worse? Giving up a couple of explosives (maybe don't think king could do it physically) or never having the ball and allowing them to do their ball control plan? Down on the goal line you said you have to worry about getting beat deep. Why? Did king plant and make one 30+ yard throw? He was running into those deep over passes. Malaki should have been in the tech kids hip pocket playing inside leverage imo. We never do that stuff. Credit to buster for knowing that.
As far as defensive scheme goes for the Texas game, don’t think you can love playing a 3-4 front. Minimum 4-3 and mix in some 3-3-5, but the 4 lineman look squatting in the gaps and being gap sound seems to be best against Texas maybe. Not to fond of the 3 lineman tho.
Think versus Texas, you will see lots of crossers/scissors/ natural pick plays to try and congest the dbs. And one thing that doesn’t excite me a lot abt Daylen/Daniel, they give up on some plays that are not finished and you saw it a few times the past 2 weeks. Kinda concerning.
Texas is winning with an immobile qb who has an ankle injury. They are controlling the games with their offensive line and defense. Remember how UGA used to win like that but the fans would complain like children that they didnt have nice shiny toys at WR like LSU and Alabama. This year, Georgia has neither and its time to go back to being a physical smash-mouth team that wins with depth on both sides of the ball. They have to control the line of scrimmage again. On Saturday Texas will do just that.
To be honest, lots of holding penalties that got missed on tech with a lot of these runs, mainly on Jalon or Mykel. But hey, can’t leave it in the hands of the refs

I love this show

One hopes the UMass and GT film will help us against Texas, especially if Sark gives Arch a key role.
Credit where credit is due, tech came in with a great game plan and threw EVERYTHING they had at the Dawgs. UGA is just too good and they never quit.

It’s called not wrapping up

9:39 wouldn’t you want you lineman still engaged in the play to squat this down?
Gonna have to score on Saturday. That will be our best defense. Texas won't lose the same way to us twice.
If Im an O coordinator Im going at #7 for GA all day everyday

Worst performance since 2019 LSU.
