Sir, You are 1st person who has documented the fact that Peshawar has always been city of Hindko speakers, thank you for that. We Hindko speakers however have always made to feel like aliens in their own city after mass migration of first pushtoons from rural areas and later by afghans. Hindko speaker's forefathers mainly from eastern Europe and Central Asia. Whereas pushtoons from Iran and Afghan origin. Our culture is totally different. Prithvi raj ji was a good friend of my grandfather when he was serving at Peshawar police line and my grandfather at adjacent Govt secrtient. Other renowned Hindko speakers from Peshawar are Shah rukh Khan Father, Anil Kapoor Father , Amjad Khan Father and Vinod Khanna. Shahrukh father house is just near to Dilip sb house. Madubala Grandfather had dry friut shop just in front of Shahrukh and Dilip sb street. Qavi khan, Fidous Jamal ,and Ahmed Faraz are also Hindko speaking from Pakistan

Pretty amazing to see Peshawar the city of my forefathers as well. My grandfather was well versed in Urdu and Pashtoon. All of my family take some pride n we still call ourselves Pishoris. The lineage continues here in Delhi with Pishori mithai, pishori mutton/chicken and of course pishori jutti , thanks for sharing this
I'm from Kohat, 70km south of Peshawar. My great grandma's father, as a teen, was adventurous and exploratory. He joined a trade caravan on way from Central Asia to Delhi, reached there, and was lost following some ''major riots'', that brought angrez raj, as she would describe. He was luckily sheltered by a humane family in Delhi for a few years, was sent to school, learned writing and would send letters back home. He eventually returned, made sure his children and their children are versed and educated for the time, and the legacy went on.

According Hindu Epic*Ramayana* today,s Peshawar established by Lord Rama,s nephew *Pushkal* this city called pushkavally 17000 years ago.
Another city Takshila,(Today -Rawalpindi) also built & established by Lord Rama,s nephew "Taksh"
Just to correct you, Pushkalavati is another city near Peshawar , both served as Kushan capital in early 100 AD.
Pushkalavati is now known as Chardadda a city in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa , Pakistan
While Takhshasila is present day Taxila city near Rawalpindi. Both are different cities.
