    Oh how I wish there were more hairdressers that invested time into how to treat naturally curly hair, using the same methods as straight hair really doesn't work, I love my curls and this is a great tutorial thank you. I dread my visits to the hairdresser.

    Okay now how do I do this on myself? 😅😂

    • @createbeautifulhair6642
      @createbeautifulhair6642  3 роки тому +3

      You can do it!! I do it every time I wash my hair - - be generous without your product and work with 70% wet hair - the key is to allow time to dry SLOWLY!! You can’t give each curl 1-2-1 attention when you do it on your own hair - but you can get a way with working with chunks of hair at a time -I’ll try to go a quick tutorial version to show you what I mean… keep posted 😘

    Love this video, how long could take all the process of preparing the curly hair and let it dry?

    • @createbeautifulhair6642
      @createbeautifulhair6642  3 роки тому

      Hi Ana, the drying process depends on the weather - or the warmth of the room - the warmer the temperature - the quicker the hair will dry! Minimum 1 hour but if it's cold and you have a lot of thick hair it could take 3-4hrs 🥶

    beautiful! If it were for an all-day event like a wedding, would you use any hairspray to lock things in?

    • @createbeautifulhair6642
      @createbeautifulhair6642  3 роки тому +1

      Hi Eleanor,
      You tend not to have to use hairsprays on such curly hair - as the curl cream keeps everything locked into place - but it wouldn't do any harm if you found one you liked😘

    I like the part about too big chunks of hair because the curl will seperate. My hair seperates because I grab too big of chunks, but the little separate curls are too thin and not chunky enough so when they dry they look frizzy. Do you have any tips for holding bigger chunks together because the vhunks only hold at the middle and bottom, but the root has those individual chunks that won't go together and separate.

    • @createbeautifulhair6642
      @createbeautifulhair6642  4 роки тому +2

      Hi - it's not easy when you do your own hair as you almost need to see the root of the hair so you can see which bits of hair want to sit together - that is the key. Maybe medium size chunks of hair will work - so just a bit smaller than the sizes you are working with at the moment. With my hair I find that if I put the product on when the hair is very wet (the wetter the hair the better) and then I pull my fingers through it to distribute the product and then push the hair together a bit as if I am scrunching it - it settles in the bigger curls - then I have to just leave it - it does take a while to dry but it works. . .let me know how you get on. . .

      I'll try that when I get some more products, I ran out. I can see the root on my edges lf course, so I'll use them as an example. I'm not talking about baby hairs. When I try to define my edges, they are puffy at the root, so I add a lot of product at the root and use the shingling method. I don't scrunch because that will puff up that area again, and my method mostly works. I style on real wet hair, too. My hair is very thick so I have to use a lot of product to hold it together. My edges have a tighter pattern than the rest of my hair. I have a lot of different textures ranging from 2c in the back, 3a on top, 3b everywhere else, and 3c edges. I've never used heat, perms, or dyes, but I have hard water. Thank you for reading my long comments, I don't usually write this long, but when I'm asking for help then I go into detail.

      @@SonicX-pd9kc HI , thanks for the long reply - the more detail the better :) I used the wrong word - I mean more squeeze or press the hair curls together rather than scrunch. I'm glad you've found a method that works, it sounds like it just needs a little tweak. . .the most visible parts of the roots are the edges - especially with thick hair you don't see the root anywhere else unless you create a part. Good luck with your beautiful curls!
