i was crocheting while watching this and not even one time i got bored cz ur soooooooo relatable and btw i was crocheting a bookmark for my cousinnnn while watching u
I find it very easy to crochet while listening to you, and I love having your channel on in the background while I work. I love all the ideas you bring to the table, I love that you help get other designers names out there. As a small, just starting out designer, I appreciate that. Very cute ideas, and thank you for having such a chill channel. Love the vibe
I'm back into my crochet era after a long hiatus and have been ambitious about my projects, but I have been rewatching my favorite tv show ever, Charmed, while I've been working on projects! Also these crochet vlogs of you and others while I work!
Someone wrote "Forged in Fire" as the show they watch while crocheting. (It caught my eye while you were scrolling) I concur! Great show to crochet to.
Watching your video while knitting, actually~ A rug to gift to my grandma this Christmas (to go with her chicken pillow, lmao). I'm intimidated by crochet, but I love to watch people work their crochet projects. Also, the autumnal vibes are just what I need.
Knitting an Oslo Hat while watching this but I’m also crocheting a checkered purse with an orange similar to the one you used for the pumpkin pie pillow and a olive green!
🍁🍂 I’m crocheting a cardigan with your videos playing threw to keep me company. I just absolutely love you energy you give off and even though I just found your channel I definitely enjoy watching your video while I crochet
17:15 I LOVE VPR!!! Hahaha now on my Wednesdays, I wait all day for my kids nap time to put the new episode on and crochet my blanket. It’s trash but I can’t stop hahah
I was crocheting socks while I watched! The pillow you made turned out so cute and makes me want to dive into an escapade of just crocheting pillows...
I loved watching this video while I worked on some Christmas presents for my parents! I am making them each their own wash cloth sets. When I moved out I took some of theirs so this year they get new wash cloths!!! I also hand caked some of my leftover yarns to make smaller projects with.
Yes, I am crocheting while watching you. I’m working on fall boutique items, right now it’s chickens! I have 3 different colors of Bernat blanket: Vintage White, Little Sandcastles and Dapple Shadow. I find my tension is looser when using a bulky yarn.
If you get a swift - it will make the winding experience SO much better! Getting a swift was something I put off and I really regret it. I got one at Michaels for like $25 and it was so worth it.
Hello, I used to work at Starbucks and I remember making drip coffee. I think it may be a bit more concentrated in caffeine that regular coffee, simply because it’s less watered down in a sense😊 it’s just a different way of making it but I think it does make a difference
Such a lovely video! ❤ I can’t believe you won yarn chicken with a tiny string left 😅😂 Also, I know the feel of all the projects being covered in dog hair! Lol
This was great to crochet to! I'm currently making a bandana so I can make sure the pattern I wrote has no mistakes and also to draw the diagram pattern for it
Currently on my lunch break at work, crocheting fingerless gloves for work specifically because my hands get really cold working on my laptop all day, especially the right hand operating the mouse. Probably way too much info but oh well. 😂 Love the chill vibe of your videos! 🥰 Also I hate salt & vinegar crisps and ppl always look at me like I am an alien when I say that. 😅
Makin' my first crochet sleeves right now. Trying to make some sort of heart/Valentine's day vibe sort of shoulder/arm thing so we'll see how long it takes to get out all the kinks.
I have the *exact* same ball winder because it truly was the cheapest one on amazon. It's not your fault - it's something about the tension, and the way the tension hook (the metal loop thing), you have to be so so careful with it. Looking forward to replacing my piece of crap ball winder some day. Hope you've gotten a new one by now - I've seen good things about the cream and purple knit picks winder, but don't have any experience with it myself.
Ok so I just found your channel, checked to see if anyone had a tip to make your winding easier given that you don't have a swift, wasn't seeing anything. I just recently bought a swift snd will say it makes a WORLD of difference, but I always wound hanks/skeins into balls before using the cake winder, you'll still run into some issues but not nearly as bad as winding up from the back of a chair. theres so many videos on how to wind up a ball from a hank, just stick the ball in a container so its not rolling everywhere when you go to cake it up! Loved this video can't wait to check out more of your videos!
Oh my gosh, thank you SO much! I really appreciate this! I think I definitely need to get a swift, but I definitely have to try this in the meantime. Thank you so much for watching! (:
I loved this video so much! Your vibes are awesome. During this video, I was crocheting the granny squares for the mushroom tote bag that you talked about in your last video!! 🧡
I thoroughly enjoyed your vlog. I'm crocheting the Babylon Sweater from Crochet Magazine Autumn 2020. I had a subscription, but never made anything until this year. This is the 3rd top I've made in the last 2 months. I also love cardigans, but I haven't made one yet. I have a pattern and yarn ready for when I'm done with this sweater. Your dogs are adorable. You're brave to play yarn chicken. I don't like that game.
I'm so glad to hear that, thank you so much! Cardigans are one of my favorite crochet projects, I'm sure you'll love them (: Thank you so much for watching!!
what a stunning cushion that is, I'm mid making a mini snood for one of my mini humans, using your tutorial to get me through, using 2 hook sizes to small because I can't find the one I need . Can't wait for your next video
For a Swiftie, I am surprised you don't own a swift. Get one of the inexpensive metal and plastic ones that clamp onto a table. You can store it away when it is not in use. You will have a lot less tangling and frustration. Also, you are holding the yarn too tight when you wind. You can mess up your gauge that way, because the yarn is stretched when you pull it off and crochet. Later it could draw up and the item become smaller. I am new here. Love your vlogs and content!
I'm working on a v-necked cardigan with Lion Brand Heartland in a chartreuse heather color. I am using the herringbone stitch, which I am currently obsessed with. I just love how it looks.
I am watching you while i teach myself how to knit we are about to move from a hot weather area to a cold one I have been making hats and sweaters I was hoping knitting would be faster then crochet to make these items wish me luck
For winding, you will probably need a larger circumference, like a chair turned over to hold the yarn. That will keep it from getting tangled as bad. EDIT: Btw, I'm working on a scarf with the Virginia Tech colors in it.
I know this video is old, so maybe you've got it sorted out, but I do have some ideas you could try to make yarn winding less frustrating. A swift would definitely help if it's in your budget. Also try sitting next to the yarn feeder so it can feed through the loop from the side instead of from the front. The way you were doing it in the video the yarn has to make a huge u turn to feed through to the cake. Changing where you feed it through from would create less resistance. Does that make sense?
Hello! If you want to get solve the problem with the yarn winder try flipping to the point where the little loop that leads to the base is in front of you rather than behind the base, if that makes sense 😅
I am on stocking 2 out of 6 using the country cottage stocking free pattern by the turtle trunk . I know it feels early (literally an hour out from halloween) but like I said I have to make 6. 😂 Im ususally an amigurumi girlie so I feel most comfortable with bernat and im trying not to stumble with making something not plushie. Also never reccomend HDC with amigurumi, i always edit that in patterns but i get it with helping larger patterns work up a lil faster.
I love that stocking pattern, I've been wanting to make some!! I feel like I have a better flow when I use Sc in amigurumi projects haha. Thanks for watching (:
For cake winding, try using both arms for the winding. Use your dominant arm for a while, then switch to your other arm. Doing this will let you rest your arm and build up your neural pathways in your brain. 😊
Ok, one last comment. Love love love the pumpkin pie pillow.
i was crocheting while watching this and not even one time i got bored cz ur soooooooo relatable and btw i was crocheting a bookmark for my cousinnnn while watching u
That is so sweet, thank you so much! (:
