Im looking at the yoga pro 9i. I do video as well as photo and some gaming on the occasion I have free time. For the lack of pen support, I'm actually looking at picking up a refurb galaxy tab s8+ and using it as a cintiq or extra screen when working on my computer but with the benefit of having something super portable to take on lunch breaks or to meetings for taking down quick notes on the go or whiteboarding. The yoga pro 9i just seems like it offers the sweet spot of the hardware and features you need most with the SD card slot, accurate display, second m.2, connectivity, thermals, etc. that's really what I value most in my lifestyle is something that covers the most bases for the best price.
@@cordovanhobbyist895 yeah the battery isn't great, but I'd rather give that up than the color accurate display, dgpu, refresh rate, etc. My reasoning is that I can fix battery by supplementing with a power bank, a light a GaN charger, or with using a tablet when I'm just consuming media, writing emails, or taking notes on the go. Being said, im not buying until black Friday so if anything better comes up I'll take it
I think he meant heading into 2025 😅 but I always watch your laptop videos it gives a lot of information which laptop will be a great option for me. Because I want to use a laptop for Graphics but also for some light gaming with my little brother such as Fortnite but Mainly for using Adobe illustrator and Photoshop
If you're using Adobe like at my workplace I'd say we'd plan for new laptops (macbook pros only for last 6 years) every 3ish years just based on specs for the software changes. You can likely push it a few extra if necessary.
NEED is a subjective term. I got a maxed out Dell Precision 5500 that cost around $3,000 back in 2019 and today it's fairly sluggish if I have Photoshop, Illustrator, my 50 Chrome tabs, Spotify, Teams, Word, and whatever else opened. It's perfectly workable, but it doesn't feel as fast as it used to or even as fast as my gaming PC that cost less that I build around the same time.
It's true that a dGPU is not necessary but Ps, LrC and Affinity are going in the direction of taking more and more advantage of having a dedicated graphics card. Last time I was playing with the AI in Ps it took 8.8 GB of vRAM of my RTX 3060 (+3.9 GB of shared GPU memory). Something to think about.
Have you reviewed the MSI Summit E 16 evo 2 in 1 from costco? The model my costco is selling is A1MTG-021CA. Intel Ultra 7-155H 32gb ddr5 1tb m.2 Windows 11 home Stylus comes with it. Thanks 👍
I have what I think is the ULTIMATE mid-priced Mobile Studio Workstation. ASUS Vivobook Pro 16X OLED (K6604JI). 3.2K 120 Hz. i9-13980 24c 32t, RTX 4070. User upgradeable to 64gb RAM & 2tb Storage. 🔥
Nightmare of a laptop. Motherboard kept crashing out and Asus just gave a simple fix which made the same exact problem happen 3 months down the line. If there is one laptop series I would stay away from its the Vivobooks.
@@mauritswagensveld4795 totally agree. I bought a Vivobook 16X yesterday, and even with 32GB of RAM, an RTX 4060, and a 1TB SSD, I got a blue screen of death within the first 5 minutes of just changing some basic settings (Wi-Fi, emails, etc.). I hadn’t even installed anything yet.
I try to decided which one to get. Any suggestion, please? Both are similar price. I am graphic/ photo/ UX designer. Sometimes do a little bit video editing. 1. ASUS - Vivobook Pro 15 OLED Laptop - Intel Core Ultra 9 with 24GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 - 2TB SSD. 2. ASUS - ROG Zephyrus G16 16" 165Hz Gaming Laptop FHD-Intel 13th Gen Core i7 with 16GB Memory-NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070-512GB SSD
Ben, if you are going to do the review of ProArt vs GG16, just know the 4080 is alot better then 4070, and so you would probably need one to get the best G16 experience
🤔 Ben, the budgets are not worth it. They're not even color accurate or meet the minimum srgb how could you even list these? I have a yoga 7 slim ultra 7 155 h OLED. $929 at BH
Heading into 2025 or 2024 ?

Same! But that battery 😓

I'm grabbing the lenovo yoga 9i 2 in 1 this black Friday! I caaaant wait!! ❤❤❤😊😊
Thank you for explaining how the GPU supports 2 external monitor displays. So helpful.
Curious question. How many years, on average, does a graphic designer use a laptop (if bought brand new) before needing to replace and upgrade it?
This is probably not the UA-cam channel for that
Gods questions I am wondering the same thing.

@@LoganSnakeis there a laptop you recommend for video editing, drawing and creating my social media content?
Thanks for sharing! Any thoughts on the framework laptop for graphic design?

I need a stationary PC or Mac, not the laptop - the screen is too small for me. Will watch for a desktop computers review. Thanks!
Are these for graphic design only or also video editing?
O kadar yardımcı oldun ki ne kadar teşekkür etsem az gelir. Thank you

I need the full review of the ProArt 16! I get the feeling you dont really like it. Is that just me?
Ben, what do you think about 24GB RAM? In a MacBook Air with 512 Gb. Please
I might’ve missed it but have you done the Best Solidworks Desktop 2024?

I totally agree! But people with a small budget still need an option, therefore the budget options that I think are the best fit.
As long as it gets the jobs done it's fine. Unfortunately you can't expect anything at this price range
Lenovo is not a strong laptop
What you recommend?
